I've been wanting this to happen for years. It will be weird if it ever does though.

Styles is making enough money in NJPW (and his other bookings) that WWE would have a hard time making an offer that would be convincing enough for him to take. I can't see him signing with them tbh. Anyone know how much Aj makes on the indies? Way more than he would be making running around with NXT. They would be asking him to take a significant pay cut.

Anyone know how much Aj makes on the indies? His last contract year with TNA was for $350K and he's making more than that on the Indies right now. I'm guessing Itami or Balor are the highest paid guys in NXT and I can't imagine they're making more than $120-150K, which is still two or three times what most people seemingly make in NXT. AJ's value is at its absolute peak right now globally. The only way he could ever make that money with WWE is if he immediately jumped on the main roster and was pushed. Otherwise, we're talking about a ridiculous paycut, less time with his family, and being positioned as a part of the "developmental" brand when he's arguably one of the greatest and most innovative performers of all time. I love AJ, I desperately want to see him get to perform at WrestleMania someday, but he deserves to be treated like a bigger deal than I'm sure WWE is willing to give him credit for at this point. That's fine, but likewise, I totally understand if AJ doesn't want to leave what he's doing just to say he's worked for Vince. Especially now, when his name has so much financial value attached to it. I think it's ultimately on WWE to prove how badly they really want to make NXT a real touring brand. If they're willing to commit real money to a guy then we'll know they're serious. WWE is the Yankees and AJ Styles is the only Triple Crown cleanup hitter on the market imo. If this was solely a HHH decision, I could see it happening, but I'm not exactly expecting it to happen either.

Don't know where you guys are getting that AJ Styles doesn't want to go to WWE? I've seen tons of his interviews where he's stated that he wouldn't mind going to WWE, if the offer is there he'll take it. Anyways AJ Styles is one wrestler who I'd dreamed of seeing in the WWE. Hopefully he gets signed, because then he would have done it all. Really? I don't recall ever seeing an interview where he said anything about wanting to go to WWE. I know he abs Christopher Daniels had the chance years ago and they choose WCW. I think he's an offer since then and turned it down, but don't quote me on that. And add someone else already mentioned, he has recently said that he's happy where he's at and feels that New Japan is the best promotion. But if you can find an interview where he talks about going to WWE, I'd love to see it.

Whatever he is making in NJPW is chump change compared to WWE.

Whatever he is making in NJPW is chump change compared to WWE. Not necessarily. From what I've read, he's making more than the vast majority of the NXT roster.

If Aj Styles did sign, WWE talent better learn to tuck in their necks.

They DON'T have to tuck their necks; it's a flat face bump...it's one of the easiest bumps to take - just do nothing...

If Aj Styles did sign, WWE talent better learn to tuck in their necks. But...the point is to NOT tuck in your neck.

If he does sign and they send him to NXT, it will truly make NXT the main roster in my eyes.

Like someone before me has said, it's the thing you want to happen for years, but when it finally happens it feels weird. Like Samoa Joe, it's still surreal somehow.
