I wonder if Cornette and HBK had any interaction at the event? BTW, my name is Anthony too.

I was there. Cornette was really friendly. Fink sold me an In your house t shirt. Original. And I bought an animal wrestling buddy from Amish Roadkill. Also got a signed bret/Owen/Davey in your house Canadian stampede poster lmao you bought that poster. I came back from HBK and it was gone. I was iffy on the Bret auto, and I've personally never seen Davey sign other than "British Bulldog". Nonetheless, nice pickup

Great post! I enjoy reading the reports about meeting the wrestlers and I like how you put the pictures in between the reports.
Shane Douglas is great with the fans. Reminds me of him remembering my name at a show a few years ago. He definitely cares about wrestling and the fans. Jim Cornette is more a fan than anything, though he is definitely a famous name in wrestling. Unless he's on a superticket or a particular agent brings him in, I think he's free autographs at all the shows. He put on a Tribute to Louisville Gardens show a few years ago and honored Jimmy Valiant, noting how Jimmy took him under his wing as a young kid. Jim is the type of guy who didn't let fame get to his head and allow him to forget where he came from.
Though not mentioned on your post, Boogeyman was also there and someone on the Legends facebook said he was the best meet. Boogey is a Douglas or Cornette type who puts the fans first, even going so far as to post pics of himself with the fans on his facebook.
Legends is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, convention of all wrestlers and with the effort they put into the show, they certainly deserve the status. The bring the fans some of the biggest wrestlers, thrive to top it everytime and most of all, they would never con the fans, try to work them as marks or try to get one over on them. Can't always say that about ones involved in the wrestling circle.

I missed him at Big Event in March and passed on him at Legends but I'm definitely getting him at the next con. I'll force myself to. Also, I completely forgot to mention this: I met Gary Michael Cappetta and he's VERY nice. He looked very stern and was kinda hidden in the back of the room (near Cornette's section) but once I talked to him, he was great. He signed my Encyclopedia and said, "See, with me you get a great deal because it's three different names I'm writing. You meet Sting and that's what? Five letters? You're getting THREE NAMES from me!"

Though we did negotiate like Pawn Stars on it.

Man that is just surreal! Congrats on meeting so many great legends. Thanks, man! It's definitely a surreal experience being in the same room with some of these legends, let alone actually meeting them. What makes everything even better is when the wrestlers come across as genuinely nice human beings.

Amazing thread ,I'm hating that you got to meet Kimberly Thanks so much, man! Kimberly was very sweet and sincerely stunning in person. Her beauty has not faded. Also, I just posted some more thoughts about LOTR. Please feel free to give it a read!

I'm not one to say the fans made the wrestler but I truly believe a person shouldn't forget their past. I've witnessed Boogeyman at shows, performing the gimmick, interacting with the fans and wrestlers and it is something that will stick with me for a long time. I met Gary years ago at a speech during his book signing. He is a very nice guy. It's a shame he hasn't been with a promotion for 20 years. His WCW intros excited me. He was a nice one at the signing, telling terrific backstage stories, offering to respond to email if anyone had more questions and offered special reproductions of personal pictures of himself with Flair and Andre/Bruno. Just seems like he had some frustrations with "Vince Jr." and perhaps that has kept him away from WWE.

Thanks for posting. I love threads like this. Awesome that you met Baron Von Raschke. He's a great name to have in your collection. I also like the Val Venis towel. Looks like you had a great time. Really sucks about all the cancellations.

He really is a legendary ring announcer and it's a shame potential "frustrations" with VKM has kept him away. Thanks for posting. I love threads like this. Awesome that you met Baron Von Raschke. He's a great name to have in your collection. I also like the Val Venis towel. Looks like you had a great time. Really sucks about all the cancellations. Cancellations, especially late minute cancellations, are always to be expected. It's a bit more frustrating considering I pre-ordered a Harlem Heat conbo ticket AND an extra Booker T autograph as well as a One Man Gang combo + extra ticket but I'll be refunded my money so it's no harm, no foul, and I get more $$$ in my back account! Wooo!

I'm overwhelmed with all of the positive feedback this post has gotten from you fine, fine people. I'll be doing another one of these fairly soon (EternalCon is this weekend and some big names are scheduled to appear)! Since you guys love the little antidotes I provided, I decided to dedicate an entire page to every wrestler I've met. The list contains 85 - yes, 85! - wrestlers with brief stories (some longer/shorter than others). So if you liked this thread then feel free to go through the list. Again, thanks so much for the praise! I love you guys and you make all the hard work putting this together worth it.

ICW, please keep up the reports on the site. I think there are three people on this site who do reports on meeting wrestlers-Frank and the young man from Canada. I always enjoy the reports to see the fans excited meeting the wrestlers, getting their special items signed and hearing how the wrestlers react to the meet and greets or how they've changed or not changed over the years. I will gladly check out your link.
