So I was just hoping that MDT could shed some light on a Mr. America figure. I just got the create a superstar Hogan, and while it was a nice nod to that gimmick, I would LOVE to see an official, fully decked out elite version of Hulk Hogan's secret persona.
I'd like to note that the mask included in the creation set is actually very well done sculpt wise, despite being red and a little on the large side. Case in point, it actually fits nicely over the elite 34 Hogan head (bandanna and all) but it actually looks pretty awesome and so I was able to get a glimpse of the potential there.
The reason I pose this question is because 1, I understand he was an obscure, short lived gimmick and 2, I can remember hearing that Mr. America was originally intended to be the old Jakks wrestlemania ticket mail away figure, but that they weren't able to do it because of similarities to Captain America (some of you long time members might recall this too)
So I'm rambling now, but I just think it would be a very colorful, unique figure with very cool shelf presence. Give him a removable Mr. America shirt, removable mask, and American flag. Even if it were an exclusive of some kind, I think it would be a great opportunity at a figure that's never been officially done before, in addition to being another take on Hogan, but being different enough from the one's we have/know we will get after nWo, hulk still rules,etc.

i wouldnt get it, but it would be a cool lookin figure. lets worry about Hollywood and Undisputed first though

Not sure why this would need to get made. It was easily the dumbest gimmick in Hogans career, it lasted all of about 2 months, and he didn't really feud or have a big PPV match with anyone.
I wouldn't buy it even if it did get made.
What we need is 2002-2003 Hollywood Hulk Hogan and 97-98 nWo Hollywood Hogan. After that I think its time to take a break from the Hogan figures. Theres really not much else in the way of Hogans left that we need.

I've wanted a Mr. America ever since he debuted the gimmick in 2003. If we don't get one, I'll just re-paint the inevitable '02 Hogan that we're going to get. |

I would buy it, but Mattel needs to make a Undisputed Hogan first. I'm pretty sure there going to make a lot of Hogan figures in the near future.

BATB 1996- A basic will do
nWo Hogan from 96-98.....HAS to be a DM really for all the bells and whistles
nWo Hogan to match the Hall and Nash BP that's incoming(a BP with Waltman would be sweet)
2002 Undisputed Hogan-elite flashback
Mr America-can be an elite
