Ok guys what is your favorite wwf game pre wrestlemania 2000? Once wwf wrestlemania 2000 hit I felt like it was a whole new ball game of gameplay, so hence the reason I asked pre wm 2000. Also goes for smackdown for the ps 1 lol.
Discuss why you choose he game you did aswell.
For me I loved wwf raw for Snes. Sure it was your typical beat your opponent til his meter was out but it was different than wrestlemania arcade and super wrestle-mania
Another game I loved was wwf in your house for the ps 1
I remember back in the day going to certain arcades and they would have this arcade game I think it was called wwf steel cage? I remember earthquake debiase hogan in it. They actually had a good amount roster.
On a side note. Does anyone remember wwf attitude? The one after warzone. I remember it taking so long to be released due to the Owen hart death. The due date constantly kept getting pushed back. I think the original was August of 99 but didn't come out til like November.

The arcade game is a steel cage u're talking about is wrestlefest.
My fav game is wrestlemania arcade. if you manage to look past the cartoony moves. To me its the most authentic look and feel. The moves eventhough outrageous, are done by the actual wrestlers themselves. even a simple hiptoss looks and feels great.
Compare hbk vs razor in wrestlemania arcade and wwe2k14 and tell me which one looks moves and feels more like their real life counterparts.
I like wwfiyh as well but i feel it's not better than wrestlemania. the moves are not as fluid and smooth, the sprites look less detailed, less contrast, and i especially dislike the different arenas.. takes it further away from being a wrestling game. Makes it lose the feel of wwf.
Yeah i remember wwf attitude.. i prefer warzone and its roster though..

Yeah the only problem I had with all those games was it was like you had to hit til meter bar was gone and that was it. Felt like a mortal kombat or street fighter game. Once smackdown and wm2000 hit worlds changed lol.
But don't get me wrong the games are still fun just kinda lack depth.

Smackdown 2: Know your role was AWESOME!, attitude isn't that bad just limited by characters. Just Bring it is probably the best.

I love Wrestlemania 2000 and No-Mercy, probably had the most fun on those. The editing a superstar any way you wanted was the best. Road to Wrestlemania mode was really fun, and the replayability was amazing. Maybe I was young enough that I didn't notice all the flaws as much...

No Mercy and wrestlemania 2000 were awesome, but before that? Probably spent the most time on Warzone.

For some weird reason, I really liked WWF In Your House for PS1. I remember playing that game like crazy -- only to get a small video package of your superstar after beating it. It was the first (and maybe only) game to feature Warrior after his return.

Definitely spent most of my time with the n64 on War Zone, never actually snagged a copy of Attitude.

If we're talking pre Smackdown/WM2000, I'm going WWF Attitude. There were things I liked about all the games even going back to RAW on Genesis (which would probably be my 2nd pick) but Attitude had a good mix of diverse roster, fun gameplay, good graphics (for the day) and mode selection. I think War Zone was so awesome at the time because it was the first game featuring Stone Cold and by the time it came out everyone knew it'd be the last WWF game to feature Bret (for a while anyway) but as a actual playable game it was a total misfire.

WWF War Zone. Even though I found the combos a pain I liked playing as HBK, Bret, Owen etc.
