Is anyone buying Shopkins?
I use to buy the old Trashy Toys, also made by Moose Toys. The shopkins are pretty much the exact same toy only instead of having trash themes the Shopkins have grocery store items. I remember when I first saw them I thought they were nice but I didnt want to invest in a new line of toys so I skipped buying any of them.
Recently though I've noticed that Toys R Us frequently run out of shopkins and when they do get them in stock they put a limit on how many people can buy. So im just curious to see who else has noticed this, or bought shopkins.

I never heard of them before the day I found my second Horsemen set at my local Target. I was outside talking to a friend who works at Target and there were two mother's and three girls who were maybe 6-7 years old. When the doors unlocked they took off like they were on fire. The three girls running the long way through the store and the moms took off running down the center aisle. All the while ignoring the manager and front end people telling them not to run. By the time I got to the toy aisle they had torn through 1 1/2 pallets where they actually knocked down an end cap that the pallet was in front of. You could tell the employees were pissed and the mothers were worse than the kids. They were a bunch of animals. My friend told me what they were looking for after they left.

Yeah I just noticed there's a demand for ShopKins now. If you guys haven't noticed some particular sets having been selling for quite a lot on eBay like $600 bucks. And the Limited Editions ones are selling for $1000 if not more. I can't believe people would spend that much one a little toy you can easily loose if misplaced.

Im not sure I've seen them at Target. I know Target clearanced out the Trashies so I was thinking maybe because of that they wouldnt even bother with Shopkins.

My daughter loves shopkins. Her elementary school got her into them so much that she now has a box full if them. To me, they are the biggest waste of money, but she lives them, and thats all that matters.

Trashies got rebranded, they are just known as The Grossy Gand now. Moose Toys have a proven formula; they also do Littlest Pet Shop, The Ugglys, but for some reason Shopkins has engulfed a bunch of children, and collectors. It's a great introduction to you collecting for younger children. By the way, Trashes had a run of 7 waves, trending cards and cards games, a Nintendo DS games, as well as app supported games. Trashies, by comparison to the The Ugglys, was highly successful. The Ugglys only had 2 waves before being discontinued.

LOL sorry, not trying to be a prick but here you say that Shopkins are a waste of money and yet you want to get Star Wars Pops, which are also a waste of money. My daughter has a bunch of them. I know she has some rare ones, I'll have to see if they are worth money. I can sell those and use the cash to fund her new Harley Quinn obsession.
