The new Elite Hulk Hogan with black pants combined with the ringside ref shirt makes a great, albeit large, ref. I haven't decided what head to use yet, but I'm hoping to find a compatible, non-WWE Mattel head that is in scale.

I would buy one for sure Obviously it's not happening for the forseeable though If we ever get it though it's probably only going to come with a ring or something

I would happily buy a ref, I think Mattel is missing the boat with not releasing generic refs/camera men/non wrestling talent. They could do a RS Exclusive pack of Ringside personnel. Id like to see a renee, byron, lilian & eden eventually... I like to recreate the whole WWE experience and I can't do it without the whole cast & crew. To the people saying use JAKKS, I say nope. It looks so TACKY mixing Jakks with Mattel... Mattel figs are superior in every possible way, the jakks referee/figs in general look a little demented. WWE doesn't want them to release a referee. It's not Mattel's choice. Never heard that before. Do you have any idea why that is? It just seems like such a weird line to draw. "No referee figures!" "But, they're on TV in every match... You even refer to them by name and have used them in storylines multiple times."

Even if WWE has told mattel they can't make referees - we should still keep asking for them.
That way Mattel has evidence to show WWE that the collectors want them which might influence WWE to change their mind sometime. WWE in all their arrogance probably won't listen, but hey you never know.

Mattel figs are superior in every possible way To me, the Jakks figures are a little easier to stand. I also like the fact that they released so many different legends as well.

I don't know if it's the best idea, but since they started that Create a Figure line, if that gets another set maybe it could be a good idea to release a generic ref/commentator set, like the gladiator and rocker set. I know those sets seem to be geared more towards gimmicky creations/fantasy characters, but I'd buy a set like that

Hmmn, rememberalf wonder if they could sneak a ref hed like Charles Robinson or Nick Patrick in the CAF line and have a ref shirt as one of the accessories? They could say it's special ref attire ;-)

They could say it's special ref attire ;-) That would be possible, I mean the CAF sets already came with extra heads, those being Triple H, Kane, and Rey Mysterio and obviously the stand alone figures used Bray, Cena, Hogan, and Rock heads. So it's not too far fetche

I'd totally buy a referee. Even it is just a generic. I feel Jakks was better at giving us those types of figs. They had one for at least most managers and even a few commentators like the JR and Vince figures. Mattel are much nicer figures but maybe in time we will see some of those

Because CMPUNK walked away like a baby I made him my referee my favorite thing is stone cold did this when they wanted him to lay down for Brock Lesnar and it was all OK wh but CM Punk Gets a lot of crap...and he was laying down for everybody and doing everything the company asked...while the Texas rattlesnake was barely wrestling and complaining about having to Austin was fine with losing to Brock. He walked out because the match wasn't advertised at all and was in the first round of KOTR.

To everyone who says ref figures don't sell well, they have always been nearly impossible to find for me. During the Jakks BCA era, I looked everywhere I could for that referee figure (and Vince, too) for well over a year and never found it anywhere. To this day I've never seen it in person. Any time Jakks released a figure with a referee shirt, I never saw it in stores except for Davari. Found one of him, bought it, never saw it anywhere again.
Ref figures don't shelf warm. Manager types do not shelf warm (unless it's a battle pack with a previously released figure a la Heyman and Brock). They are almost always impossible to find in my experience and every time I did, I was very lucky and never saw them again.
Hell, even BAF HBK I never saw in stores ever.

Mattel won't make a ref. Makes all the requested characters .5 per case.
But let's increase the number of characters per Series so we can stuff in some more John Cena, Big Show and Randy Orton figures!

Also, Austin stated that he regretted very shortly afterwards. I'm sure punk will never say that.
