I laike Seth but he isn't amazing like others say. He is average at best on the mic. Good in the ring but no sells ALOT. His booking has been atrocious as well but that's not on him. I feel like "he no-sells" isn't even a criticism in WWE at this point. NOBODY sells, and when someone does, they sarcastically over-sell like Ziggler. I can agree with this. I'm with Steve Austin and just wish one friggin person would properly sell a DDT. I know a lot of people loved the Cena/Owens matches at the last 2 PPVs but I feel they are great examples of the no-selling most performers do today. Both matches turned into "hit big move, kick out, other guy hits big move, kick out, hit finisher, kick out, hits finisher again, kick out, repeat 15x." There was absolutely no-selling of the moves what so ever.

My thoughts on Rollins:
In the ring he can at times look smooth and almost natural and then he goes on a move binge that makes him look awkward and uncomfortable. I don't know if he just doesn't like the match or agents are getting to involved but it seems like shades of the old awesome NXT/ROH Rollins/Black shine through.
On the mic he is just naturally repetitive. Edge even said his angle on Raw ended up feeling long and boring with Roillins' repetition. It does not help he is in a very lack luster and repetitive storyline with the Authority.

No such thing as over rated, it's just others like something more than others.

I'm not feeling him at all lately. He is just boring and everything this guy does is predictable. We all know he is going to cut the same promo every week, We all know J&J and Kane are going to interfere in every single one of his matches. This is the repetitiveness that makes me hate the product. This whole authority storyline is beat to the ground and i wish it would go away. You can turn on an episode of Raw from a year and a half ago, Replace Orton with Rollins and replace Bryan with Ambrose/Reigns and we have damn near the same exact show. Exactly how I feel about it. A lot of it is the booking, but all of his matches are so predictable at this point. I'm not saying you don't do the same moves in a match, but there's different ways of going about doing it.

I feel like theres so many things wrong with Rollins but my main gripe with Rollins is that they have basically been doing the same thing with him since Wrestlemania. Every match he is in, is in some form Rollins + Authority vs. anyone else. It just makes him look insanely weak that for 4-5 months now, he hasn't been able to do anything on his own.
Other than that,
- it seems weak to me that he had to steal Triple H's finisher and pretty much butchers it every time he uses it. (I understand his Curb Stomp is "banned" but he can't come up with something original?) - his mic skills are par at best, the fake laugh he does is just overkill - all of his matches on PPV since Mania have been subpar-par at best, while being outshined by Owens/Cena, New Day/Kidd & Cesaro, Reigns/Show on multiple PPV's.
To sum up my opinion on Rollins — I think the guy has all the talent in the world to be one of the best future stars that WWE will have for many years to come. At the moment however I just don't think he is proving it, or getting the job done as WWE Champion, and there are multiple guys (Reigns, Ambrose, Cesaro, Wyatt, Ziggler) that should be where he is right now.

I forgot to mention, Ever since they banned his Curb stomp, I just cant take him seriously anymore and on top of that, He starts doing the Pedigree, which completely ruins everything about Seth Rollins. When he does the Pedigree, You automatically think HHH. Its like WWE banning the Stone Cold Stunner and have Austin do Hogans leg drop in 1998. Do you think the fans would have taken him seriously?
They stripped Rollins of his "identity" and now he looks like a joke because he cant even do the Pedigree right, which makes him look amateur in the ring.

Seth is ing awesome. Currently he's usually one of the best things about the show. I don't think he's overrated at all. What sucks is that he is stuck being booked the only way WWE knows how to book a heel, and that's this generic chicken-**** coward route they always go, it's just so played out.

I think he is under rated. No one is telling a better story in WWE than Rollins is. His ability to bump and sell reminds me so much of Edge.

I like Rollins and he still is developing his persona. I think he actually improved a lot on the mic if you compare it to his indy days mic work, it's day and night. He was so horrible on the mic back then.

Just my opinion, of course. But I don't see the big deal about this guy at all. Again, this is all just my opinion, but I feel like for all the hate some other guys get, Rollins is deserving of a lot of criticism, too. /rant Thank you for posting this, I completely agree with everything the original poster wrote. With only this to add: * The cartoonish facial expressions are absolutely cringe-worthy every time he does it.... it makes it impossible to take him seriously, he looks like he's making a mockery of the business. * Some of his flips/moves tend to get a little overly ridiculous & repetitive, to the point where I'm saying "no one would actually do that" in a wrestling match. Like that thing where he jumps off the top rope, flips, then lands on his feet, only to usually get throttled by his opponent.... why does he do that, or what offensive move is he trying to do? Rollins is the weakest WWE Champion they've had in years, IMO. He's a step up from The Miz, though....

Yeah, kinda. I mean, overrated and overrated... He is well, simply not as good as people say he is. He is fantastic, but he's not some God like people make him out to be.

Right now he's slightly overrated, He was pushed to soon but that's not his fault so I don't dislike him I just feel he should have had a more organic rise to the top.

the word "overrated" doesn't mean anything. it's just noise at this point. Because "rating" in general is all subjective and every person can have their own favorites. "overrated" is somehow a more overused and misused than "the IWC". newsflash, 95% of the world's wrestling fans are on the internet these days, so "the internet wrestling community" isn't some closed off niche thing like it was in 95.

The only reason people overrate him is because for the past year he's been one of the only consistent saving graces of a boring WWE. Most matches he has been in have been brilliant and he's already had MOTY quality matches imo.
Right now he's a little repetitive, but there's only so much he can actually say and do since he's sided with the heels, if he were a face it'd be a different story.

He's only the top heel in the company, and no one else is even close to him...so I dont agree
