Raw last night did 3.46 million viewers, the second lowest non-holiday number for the show since 1997, meaning it even fell below games against the NFL. The only non-holiday Raw below, on December 3, 2012, went against a monster ratings for a New York Giants vs. Washington Redskins game. If there is a positive, the numbers for the second straight week grew during the show and peaked in the final hour. What makes this number even worse is that competition was non-existent, aside from the usual Love & Hip Hop Atlanta 4, and there was nothing of note when it came to sports competition, with a baseball game head-to-head on ESPN doing 669,000 viewers. Raw was still the highest rated show on cable. You know what this means.... #16 is upon us.

Honestly, I'm not surprised. These days, WWE spoils the angles and matches on that night. And these matches basically never change. I think I've seen five Ambrose & Reigns vs. Rollins & Kane matches these past two months.

Not surprised. Putting out consistently low quality material means less and less people will bother with watching it. I don't watch Raw anymore and neither do plenty of other people. There are now many other places to get solid wrestling, both in ring and storyline wise.

I think the WWE currently has a great roster of in ring talent. One of the best ever IMO. But they need to get more adventurous and creative with their story lines. The in ring portion in great, it's the outside stuff that needs some spice.
Maybe the low rating will force WWE/Vince to think outside the box more. But then again, maybe not?

WWE needs to look a LOT farther than their main event scene to see why their ratings are low.
3 hours same matches/wrestlers on every week zero reason to care about anything besides the WWE title and US title....and sorta tag titles but not really.
with the insanely great amount of TALENT this company has today there is no excuse for their absolute abysmal booking/tv presentation
maybe too they need to re-think the way the show is presented. commentary is horrendously boring and in some cases downright insulting. the camera work is the worst of any show i've ever seen on television. i've never seen a show ACTIVELY TRY to let their viewers NOT see what's going on (the constant zooming and panning and cutting and zooming zoom zoom zoom....if i was a casual fan i'd be so annoyed with the product

Is Raw "must watch"? I can, and have skipped Raw and will pick it up in a week or so and feel like I haven't missed a thing. I know why people want the Attitude Era back so much, it seemed so must watch and always had fans guessing. Now, the product is incredibly stale and there is nothing about Raw that makes every week must watch television, let alone worth watching television in some places.

I know why people want the Attitude Era back so much, it seemed so must watch and always had fans guessing. Now, the product is incredibly stale and there is nothing about Raw that makes every week must watch television, let alone worth watching television in some places. The solution is to convince America that "what wacky bumps will Dolph Ziggler do in a pointless match this week?" is a burning question that they have to tune in to find out the answer to. Alternatively, WWE can stop overdoing all their drawn-out matches and hotshotting all the in-ring, and concentrate on some fast-moving storylines that are actually interesting. In the attitude era, the TV was exciting and it built the PPV. Now, the TV is boring and the matches are as good as PPV anyway. Which waters down everything. The worst part is they have so much great talent but they all wrestle each other so much that it's impossible to care. They're literally wasting the potential star power of Reigns, Rollins, Ambrose, Wyatt etc by not saving anything for later.

If someone would please be so kind as to wake up Vince Mcmahon, he would most likely be concerned about this a little bit.... He could then maybe turn off the show-o-matic 5000 and actually create something that gets people excited and maybe anticipating every Monday and Thursday....

You know what wrestling show is good? ROH. I've only watched it since it debuted on Destination America, but I have yet to see the same wrestler twice.
The WWE should just dig a little deeper into their talent pool and I don't know, give someone else a chance?

I mean...last night's show was pretty bad outside of the Steen/Cesaro/Cena match and angle.

They really don't explain who's who and what's what and instead just trust everyone to pay attention and remember. I love seeing that for a change....obviously the hour show lends itself to that style, but its so refreshing to see and it's come along just when we need it.

I honestly only watch pay-per-views and check the Raw threads at this point. Will start watching during the lead up to Summerslam.

The product is garbage. You cant blame it on any 1 person, The entire show is just garbage. WWE uses the same exact template of their Raw programming every single week. For me, I cant even watch the show anymore. I can usually just pop in for the first segment, do alittle mid show 10 min session and watch the main event and thats all i need to see. 3 hours of Raw crunched down to 45 minutes. Lately, I just go on WWE youtube page and watch the 3-4 minute "highlight videos.

I'm sure having a 2 hour replay the next night certainly didn't help. You know what wrestling show is good? ROH. I've only watched it since it debuted on Destination America, but I have yet to see the same wrestler twice. Well to be fair... ROH is only an hour long, while WWE has 5 hours to fill a week. So it's a lot easier for ROH to not recycle talent. Over-saturation may be WWE's biggest downfall.

This is what happens when they put on the same matches every week, have storylines drag on for too long, repeat stuff from 15 years ago and every wrestler has a .500 win-loss record or is a total jobber.

I miss that must watch, anything can happen feel that it used to have. But it's just not there and hasn't been for a long time. There is a ton of wrestling talent on the main roster, and in nXt, but not much in creative and none at the announce table.

There is only so many times you can see the same match, or variations of a match, before you simply stop giving a damn. There is one of them coming up on Smackdown that I have no interest in seeing, and the competitors are two of my favorites. People can go into a match, and know the outcome before it even starts, there really is almost no surprise factor left when it comes to WWE. The three biggest moments so far in WWE came as surprises to most people... Rollins at Mania, Owens beating Cena and Ambrose momentary title win. It's just the state of WWE anymore, and while they have the right talent to turn it around, I have almost zero faith in them to do it right..

Can't even bring myself to watch RAW these days, only watch the events on the network. Yet somehow, in the time between build up, I literally miss nothing and the 2 minute video leading up to the Match does a better job summarizing each rivalry than a month of TV
