The Simpsons is better than Family Guy at this point I wouldn't go so far as to say that. In all honesty, Family Guy is more entertaining in this point and time than The Simpsons. The episodes now just move too slow for my liking.

I still enjoy the show. I admit it can be hit or miss depending on the episode these days, but I've remained pretty loyal. Family Guy doesn't really do it for me anymore. I feel like I grew out of it. I'll always have a place in my heart for The Simpsons.

So as a precursor, I'm really into voice acting. It's an unappreciated art and the people are some of the best in the biz. Harry Shearer IS the characters that he created voices for, but if he left, I would have watched the Simpsons again, only because I recently attended a con and was able, in no uncertain terms, to get a favorite voice actor of mine to confirm by way of evasive answering that he would have been filling the vacancy of at least two of Shearer's roles, and if nothing else, I wanted to hear his take on them.
Some things might just be better left to wonder.
