So I went to Summerslam yesterday. Everything was amazing, far exceeding my expectations. Cena and Rollins was the best match of the night, IMO. I was on my feet the entire time, crossing my fingers that Cena wouldn't win. I also gave Roman a fist bump on his way down to the ring (in person, he's freaking huge).
I don't know if it was edited out from the network broadcast, but when Undertaker and Brock Lesnar sat up and started laughing each other, Undertaker said f*ck you to Lesnar and then they started fighting. I was really hoping for Sting to come out last night, but everything else in the night was awesome.

Was at summerslam last night. What a fun and great night. Crowd was awesome. Think the taker and Brock match was fun but the ending too all of us was so confusing. Idk how they portrayed it on the network will need to,watch it. When the first bell rang we were all confused. Because for most we never saw taker tap. And then Brock gives taker the middle finger and then stops moving? Whatever happened to raising the hand three times before ending the match? Guess I'm too old school. We all stood their in shock and had to wait for replays to see what happened. We def booed for awhile. And my friend and I were debating about how hurt taker was. After that f5 through the table, taker could barely stand up. It went to a ground game. Even throwing punches from the mat. From where I was sitting, when taker went to the back and he hit the cut through he fell down to the floor and crawled back. Idk if this was part of the script or not but I think another match with Brock and he might just be dead. I saw video of Taker falling it looked like he may have tripped cause he got back to his feet before going all the way into the back.

Wow what a PPV! Takeover what?
Four hours and it didn't dip once. Even the Intercontinental Championship match was pretty good, only thing I didn't like was how Ryback won in heelish manner.
Rollins and Cena was miles above their Tables match nearly a year ago. Jon Stewart being part of the match was unpredictable but what he done was though. Like explained earlier in this thread, his actions made sense to prevent Cena from winning number sixteen.
Brock and Taker exceeded expectations as I knew they would. Taker being attacked mid entrance, that's a first. From the moment that happened, you knew it was going to be a fight. The finish was questionable but if the rematch is anything like what we saw tonight then bring it on.
With Summerslam moving to four hours and being treated like Wrestlemania junior, I'd like to see them try a stadium. Not an 80,000 capacity venue but something more along the lines of 20 - 25,000.
I'll give Summerslam 4/5. Again, a hell of a show.

It's so interesting how people can see a show so differently.
I've seen people call it the PPV of the year, people like me think it was a middle of the pack show and some thought it was awful.

For me personally it was the the PPV of the year. I pretty much enjoyed it from top to bottom. But I didn't like any of the other PPVs so it didn't have much competition.

Overall, I loved it. Loved the tag match, the Rollins-Cena and Taker-Brock.
Taker and Brock stole the show IMO because they delivered a better match than a lot of people expected. Except the finish but oh well. It was damn entertaining.
Taker laughing stole the show

I gave it a 6/10 but agree that while nothing was great, nothing was terrible outside of the Divas match. Yeah, it was middle of the road for me. Perfectly entertaining, but it was such a one-match card that the rest of the night just kind of felt like a glorified episode of Raw with good matches. Nothing outside of Lesnar/Taker felt like it belonged on the number two show of the year to me.

I give the show a 6/10 Sheamus vs Randy Orton: I've seen this match a countless many of times. * Fatal 4 Way Tag Title match: I thought this was a solid match; every guy did their part. I think a normal tag match would have been better. *** Celebrity tag match: The match was solid for the most part. I liked that Stephen Amell wrestled and I was happy that his team won. But I still believe celebrities have no part in wrestling full matches. ** Ic Title Match: This match was very predictable. I have 0 interest in any of the 3 guys. Big Show is washed up, Miz looks like a fool, and Ryback is a terrible worker. The entire match was lackluster. * Rusev vs Ziggler: Rusev is a very good heel and it sucks how much his character has declined since losing to Cena twice. I know that people are very high on Ziggler, but to me he's overrated. The whole storyline for this fued sucks. Lana should have never parted with Rusev, they worked very well with each other. Summer Rae as Rusev's new gf does not make any sense. The ending to this match was horrible. I wish there were at least something at stake to make this match good, oh well. * Reigns & Ambrose vs Wyatts: This was definitely to me the most solid match of the night. There was no crappy finishes which was surprising. Roman could have worked a little more, but I guess he's still improving. Ambrose, Harper, and Bray stole the show; they are workhorses. **** WWE vs US Champion: I have to say first that both Seth and Cena are very hard workers and can tare down the house. This was **** match up until the crap finish. I like Jon Stewart, but no way shape or form a celebrity should be involved in Championship match, ever. This could have been a good match, but damn... *** Divas match: I have one word clustermuck. Charlotte, Sasha, Becky, and Paige are definitely worthy of showcasing. They are the best women in the main roster. But unfortunately they were put in a crappy tag match that went on for too long. Oh and Nikki is the longest reigning Divas Champion without having defend the damn thing. Bring back the WWE Women's title please. ** Cesaro vs Owens: This was definitely the best one on one match of the night. Both men are hard workers and deserve to be top guys in the future. Owens winning was a good decision. Cesaro can definitely rebound from his lost. **** Taker vs Lesnar: The match started out good, but ended bad. Who the wrote the finish of this match? Again like with the Cena vs Rollins match this could have been one of the best matches of the night, but unfortunately suffered with a false finish. Both men gave it their all and Taker looked much better than in their last match. *** So SummerSlam gets an average rating from me.

Is it weird Stewart's face kinda fits perfectly on Rikishi's body? Also I'd say it was enjoyable, not ppv of the year for me but still very enjoyable.

The tag match was fun. Cena/Rollins was easy motn despite goofy ending. However the crowd was tired after that match & it showed in the next 2 matches, especially Owens/Cesaro. I think people are overrating that match a bit much. Solid match still but no 4 star. Undertaker/Brock was entertaining despite the stupid finish; the crowd woke up for this match. Another match that was solid but wasn't 4 star worthy either. Perhaps because it exceeded expectations people over rated it a bit & ignored taker barely able to walk and gassing within min into match and Brock sold like crazy to make his offense somewhat believable.
TakeOver kept me entertained for every second while there was some filler matches that gave me no reason to care or be invested in (ic title, orton/sheamus) for summerslam but a good show but too long. Still solid 2 nights if action.
Top 3 matches for weekend: Nxt women's Cena/Rollins Owens/balor
