Trish Stratus wasn't very good when she first started to wrestle. I remember she was put in 6 man tag matches with T&A and had that one on one with Stephanie at No Way Out 2001 and it was okay, but Regal interfered a lot to make it better. And then 10 months later they had Trish win the 6 women's scramble match to become Women's Champion and everyone was like "What?!?! Really?? Trish Stratus??"
Fast forward to 2005 and she was the best heel diva in the history of the WWE and was putting on amazing matches with every Diva on the roster.
So Eva Marie has that chance to be like Trish. She can improve and as long as Vince gets a few good years out of her and as long as Total Divas remains a hit on the E! Network then Eva Marie will be fine.

I totally agree that maybe one day she could get really good. The main thing working against her is her age. Trish retired at 31, while Eva turns 31 already this year. She is off to a very late start, which really hurts.

She doesn't have a few good years left. 2) On a roster with girls like Sasha, Charlotte, Bayley and Becky, it's very unlikely that Eva becomes the best in-ring female performer.

Eva looked better than both Bella's combined lol. And that is your opinion. While I disagree with it, I'm not going to call you a fake fan or anything like that for thinking that. slappy loves Eva Marie and we disagree on a fair amount about her, but that's why there are discussions about her. I'm going to disagree that she looked better than both Bellas.

Funny... Looking at the ages of some of the members here, a pic would be the only way most would even know how Ric used to look in the good ol' days.
I see the ages of 25, 20, and less... They never even lived through the real days of wrestling.
Lol.. It took absolutely no time and my point was proven. This is a gifs and memes board. No real discussion happens here. And no.. These kids wouldn't have a clue about ric flair that we knew. so posting memes is a crime now? Also i know plenty of people on this board who lived in the 70s and 80s. Please stop with useless hateful posts.

Let's be honest though, when did being the 'best in-ring performer' actually mean you will be WWE Champion?? Look at John Cena. He isn't great, he's good, but not great. His in-ring work isn't as good as a Rollins, Orton, or dare I say, Owens. But Cena is super over and has a look. Eva Marie has a look too. On the latest Total Divas she said she signed with some agent who The Rock is signed with. She wants to be the first diva to go from WWE to Hollywood. She will do it, and Vince will back it 100%.

I can argue that John Cena is a great wrestler, but that's an entirely different topic. When Trish was active, she was arguably the best in-ring female competitor, which is why I don't really like the idea that Eva can be the "Next Trish" when you factor that in along with her age, which is her biggest detriment.

Actually, Bash said something about the multiple Paige threads and I said something about how many Paige, Owens and Undertaker, etc. threads we've had lately. While a lot of us may "spam" posts, there is no need for so many threads about the same things.

I still say she will have at least one Divas Title reign in her career at least. There can never be a next Trish Stratus. She was too beautiful and talented. The divas now don't come close to her. Not that they are ugly or untalented, just the level of Trish is hard to come by.

Why are you being so overly aggressive with everyone? It's wrestling, which in the grand scheme of life is completely meaningless. No need to take it so seriously and "call out" wrestling fans. Everybody has a different opinion on what is going on in the wrestling word. It doesn't mean anyone is right or wrong. There are much more important things in life than wrestling...like just about everything else. Just watch it as entertainment and nothing more. Different opinions don't have to lead to problems.

Naomi can't work but Eva did great? LOL I don't think you know much about wrestling. Sure she showed some improvement but she has a LONG way to go before she can be considered for a Divas Championship run, especially with the NXT divas now on the roster and it takes more than a few cool moves.

It'll be difficult for Eva to win over fans in any way because she's already stigmatized as a "model who is only in pro wrestling for the fame." She can improve, but that really won't be enough. Look at the Bella Twins. Both Nikki and Brie have shown tremendous improvement, but a lot of people don't want to recognize that because of who they are. Back when Trish blossomed from a model with no wrestling background to one of the most successful females in history, the idea of "Wrestler > Model" wasn't really a thing. Now, in this day and age with so much legitimate talent in the Divas division, a title run for Eva Marie wouldn't be well received at all. And truthfully, I'd argue that we've seen some female competitors who are better than Trish.

Doobie is the guy that throws a hissy fit when the Raw thread is posted early because he decided to visit a wrestling forum immediately after a wrestling pay per view ended, then he gets aggressive with people when they disagree with him about Eva Marie, the undisputed bottom 2 diva of the roster (with Rosa). He literally only posts to get a rise out of people. He's a troll. Stop feeding the troll.

There was no idea of wrestler > model back then because the companies you would have watched didn't generally have women's wrestling. Not that you'd remember it anyway.
