Hi everyone, Chris here.
I became the new Text Fed Board and Text Fed Help Board Moderator on the 10th of July 2015 due to my Text Fed, SUMMIT PRO, of which I am very proud.
The former Moderator, Zeke, had a set of rules which it appeared no one really paid attention to, so I am 'sprucing things up' here in my attempt to be the best Moderator I can be.
Rule # 1 - Reply Rule
Please make an effort to reply to other people's threads/shows. Feedback can really motivate you if it's positive, and of course constructive.
If you do reply, please offer something more substantial than 'Can't wait to see...' or 'Looking forward to the next...'
I imagine that despite the good intentions, it doesn't actually help in the 'review' of the show in any way. Please also don't bump your thread unnecessarily with 'Updates soon' or something along those lines.
Rule # 2 - Code of Conduct
There is no need, no excuse and no reason to fight, bicker, threaten or demean other people's efforts here. In keeping with what Zeke laid out previously -
You will be warned once about it and the topic will be completely removed instead of locked. If you decide to spam up either the chat thread or the board with it after the fact or after you have been warned. You will be turned over to the admin for these reasons and they will decide your punishment.
You are no better than I and I am no better than you, if you feel your show was better there is no point in bragging about it in your reply on another user's show. Also, if you promote your show in other's threads you will be reported to the admins for spam. So in other words if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
This includes those who decide to fly off the handle in reaction to what the Mod does without asking first in a civilised manner.
Rule # 3 - Formats
I currently have one thread for everything SUMMIT PRO on this main board. I also have an info thread on the Help and Discussion Board. I don't feel it's necessary to have more than one thread for my Text Fed, but that's just me. Someone like 'Slappy', on the other hand, has multiple threads, in both Boards for his Fed.
Shows go in this Board, matchup info goes in the Help Board.
If you feel it's necessary to have multiple threads, please let me know about the scope of your Fed before posting to see if it is warranted.
To reiterate - this part of the board is for shows/events/pertinent updates and content; the Help/Discussion board is for info about your Fed, like rosters.
IF YOU DO NOT HEED THIS NOTE, THE MOD RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MOVE YOUR EFFORT TO THE APPROPRIATE BOARD.
Rule # 4 - Registration
This rule seems pertinent, and a leftover from Zeke's rules.
Make sure you check the Fed Registration before making or posting your own federation name. If you see that a member has the name you would like to use, you can PM them to ask them to use it.
But you must credit that user in your thread's saying that they allowed you to use it. Also if you have used the Registration and have names or show names after two years of it being in the Registration it will be deleted. Unless you return to and put it back in there yourself, or indeed, ask the Mod (in this case, Chris Reager).
If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know.
Enjoy, and remember, as corny as it sounds, there is no limit to your imagination.
