I don't think Iron Man 3 sucked in the least bit. Sure the twist thing pissed off die hard fans but they fixed that with the short flick.

I just got home 45 minutes ago from Fantastic Four and honestly, it wasn't NEARLY as bad as the critics say it is. Sure, it have been more related to the comics. Sure, the dialogue wasn't A+. And yes, it's an origins story again but look at it the way it is. It's an origin story of four teenagers (five counting Doom) getting super powers from inter-dimensional travel. Without comparing this to the past movies or the comics, and looking at it as it's own thing, it's good.
I enjoyed this Doom; his God mentality and the way how he basically is his suit. He looked badass, too. His powers were showed well and it definitely seemed like he could take over the world.
I also enjoyed the way the teens got their powers and how it showed the individual ways they got them, rather then they all got covered in the same green goo but got different powers.
I thought whoever Reed's actor was, got the geeky, quirky mannerisms that Reed shows down pat. His acting could have been better, but he was fine.
Michael B. Jordan could have been better, but the weak dialogue got the best of him.
I didn't however find the defeat scene good. It was very anti-climactic and I feel like they could have done a lot more with it.
All in all, as it's own thing; it's good. It starts it's own universe and hopefully (if it gets a sequel) it stays in it's own universe.
I'm excited for The Silver Surfer, and hope he's in the sequel if they get one. With the CGI they have now, it could be fantastic(ha puns).

I thoroughly enjoyed Dark Knight Rises and IM3. Both have flaws but I didn't get too hung up on it....

They're tracking it somewhere around 50 mil for the weekend. I'm honestly expecting it to do about 30 personally. And that has a lot to do with little kids "Oh, superheroes cool!" going to see it, and Trank being so loved by a small group. His fans are somehow as rabid as Edgar Wrights...both of which I don't understand the love for, but at least with Wright he's accomplished more than well -- nothing at all, at least. . Well Box Office Mojo is now reporting that Tranks decidedly "below Average 4" will pull in less than 27 million this weekend.....thus far it has earned about 2,800 on the screens it was shown at. Its an utter disaster for Fox......good God. I didn't imagine it would do this poorly. Trank and Jordans cocktail of ignorance & arrogance coming home to roost.

And good, a disaster for Fox means (along with all the other sh*t he's pulled) a disaster for Trank's career. I have no sympathy. None at all. Let him be an example for young filmmakers everywhere.

well the latest seems to be that the "Evil neer do wells" at Fox didn't allow poor Josh to make the movie he wanted to and had agreed upon. And threw him off the movie and eliminated 3 set pieces a few months back.......LMFAO
Utter BULL. This would have leaked out.....Trank was ranting and raving about his "originality" to 2 weeks ago.
Trank turned down storyboards that set up Annihilus for the 2nd movie.....he wouldn't even entertain ideas about teasing the more notorious citizens of the Negative Zone....or even call it that.
Trank forbade comics or the source material on set this led to disagreements with Kinberg. Mara let this slip last January.
Tranks "style" led to disagreements amongst the cast.....notice how quiet they have all been? aside from Jordan telling us all to wake up, get off our keyboards and go outside? LOL!!! why because rewrites occurred to make Johnny Jordan "da man".....you can tell too.
Trank that had a widely reported meltdown mid filming(because he has no clue what hes doing) a meltdown that cost him the Star wars gig......
Fox had to bring in Vaughn to do reshoots.....reshoots that eviscerated the 3D conversion budget.
I could go on all day......and yes his casting of Jordan was a problem. Jordan's Storm was utter crap....and what we all feared a lazy, stereotypical character.
whoo boy am I having fun.

Wait, Trank was set for Star Wars? Thank that didn't happen, I'm unbelievably excited for new Star Wars and that would have just been an abomination to even think about.

With Fox wanting Marvel to sign off on the rights to a X-men TV show. And now Fox is stuck with a Fantastic Flop franchise. I think they may be able to work something out.
FF/Silver Surfer/Galactus for the Marvel's cooperation on the X-show.

Trank has done SERIOUS damage here with his nonsense.......although I suppose they will want the catalogue of space dudes tied to the FF. I'm still blown away MS were able to use Ronan & The Kree....I thought they would have been tied up solid at Fox. I hadn't heard about this X-men TV show......that's leverage right there for sure.

Boring question from a non-comic buff: *SPOILERS FOR ANT-MAN BELOW* What are the accords that Cap and Wilson talk about at the end of the film that means they can't contact Stark? There's some assumptions being taken, but it's probably: In the Civil War storyline of comics -- as well as in the Agents of SHIELD TV show -- there is basically a government-owned database of all the super heroes and villains, basically anyone with special powers or unique abilities. Stark is on board with this... Rogers less so, particularly in regards to Bucky, who'd be jailed or worse for his past based on it.

Yes. There is literally NOTHING toxic to Marvel/Disney at this point. If word gets out that Fantastic Four are on their way back to Marvel, and they plaster it all over the place -- they'll rectify the situation. Marvel/Disney is beyond touching right now. GotG and Ant-Man have proven that. Their best bet, IMO, would be to get the rights back and intro all the characters in Infinity Wars. That would take the initial pressure of delivering in their own movie off, and let the audience get attached to the characters before giving them their own story. That would also give a couple years for this all to die down. F4 is Marvel's first family, regardless of what Trank and Co have done to the characters. Marvel/Disney are also control freaks (something I respect the hell out of) -- they'll take control back of their own characters in a heart beat. If they were willing to extend a hand for Spidey even though he was making less and less money, they'll take F4 back.

I think Marvel would take FF back in a heartbeat. Same as they did with Spider Man. To be honest, I think Marvel wants everything back. If the FF do end up in the MCU, I hope they cast older. I just don't see the FF as 20 somethings trying to save the day. Rumors online are that Fox wants to do a TV series based on the X-Men. But can't because they don't own TV rights, only movie rights. They need Marvel to sign off on it. And I guess Marvel don't want to make a TV show with characters that can't enter the MCU. X-Men TV show Rumors

However Spider Man & The FF are VERY different creatures when it comes to the cultural lexicon. But I see what your saying.

I don't know why, but I really want Jon Hamm to play Reed Richards. He's a great actor and has a perfect sense of humor for the MCU. I think he'd fit in great with Downey, Pratt, & Rudd.

Jon Hamm would actually make a quality Mr. Fantastic. But there's someone I think DESERVES the nod a bit more, especially if it's an MCU production... Ben Foster -- Mr. Fantastic Alice Eve -- Invisible Woman Jim Sturgess -- Human Torch Garrett Hedlund -- Ben Grimm (Thing being CGI) This puts them all in their 30s Then I'd do Tyler Mane as Dr. Doom with David McCharen (Shredder voice actor from the first two movies) doing his voice... I hear Doom every time he speaks in these movies...
