During a recent interview with Amy Pascal & Kevin Feige, Amy has stated that the Venom & Silver/Black solo films WILL be in the same universe as the Tom Holland MCU world! {Link to the confusing mess}I mean maybe this is something new that just transpired? Maybe she's crazy? Notice Kevin doesn't respond. I mean I hope it's true cause Tom Hardy vs Tom Holland would be something. TBH, if they're still going to be a solo Sony effort, and Marvel isn't involved, I'd rather they not be attached to the same universe. I have no faith in them not to completely them up. However, if Marvel IS involved, it's much more interesting.

This car commercial is exactly why getting someone younger was the best move for Spiderman...

They don't really want him to come along, but they're trying to be nice. A) They were going to share a universe the entire time, but Marvel was trying to keep it on the DL as a surprise, which Sony has now hugged up. B) Sony wants us to believe that the movies are going to share a universe, but it will only be in the loosest possible sense. C) Sony is going to do whatever it wants to do despite Marvel wanting nothing to do with the Sony universe.

I have nothing positive to say about the recent "announcement" by Amy Pascal.. I am that disappointed at the way Sony's attempting to use the MCU.. Never in my life have I seen someone that holds so much power be so out of touch with EVERYTHING.. With a company they're working side by side with no less. She spoke like a TRUE moron.. Typical money hungry Hollywood executive that LITERALLY signed a golden deal to save their ass and instead of being grateful, sitting back and collecting checks.. They saw giant dollar signs.. Piggybacking off of Feige's hardwork. The way Amy Pascal was speaking honestly sounded like a glorious plan to crash and burn the Marvel Cinematic Universe.. And quite literally everything up that's been built over the last 10 years. This is exactly the bullsh** I was worried about when this deal was signed.

Disney/Marvel should threaten to end this deal while they have a chance. Either Sony stops this crap or they're done piggybacking off the MCU for now. It'd be so easy to write Peter out by saying that he "went off to college." Spider-Man isn't worth the crap Sony is giving them.

Anyone know if Sony own the rights to Miles Morales?

Anyone know if Sony own the rights to Miles Morales? If it works like the X-Men deal with Fox, then the answer is yes. Sony would have the rights to the Spider-verse entirely, which I believe is the case. The only way there can be cross character usage, Quicksilver, is if the character is reasonably ingrained in both ownership rights, meaning Quicksilver and SW had as much Avengers backstory as X-Men mythos. So while Disney was allowed to use the characters based on their ownership of the Avengers, they weren't allowed to call them mutants (a term owned by Fox through the X-Men deal) or reference Magneto. Miles falls clearly under the Spider-man umbrella and Sony owns all live-action rights to Spider-man. The only reason Miles Morales is in the Ultimate Spider-man show is because Disney owns the television animated rights. So they can do what they want and use whoever they want in the television cartoon realm. It's a ing mess man. I'm assuming anything connected directly to the Spider-verse, so Spider Gwen, Agent Venom, Silk, etc., is all Sony's if we're talking live-action.

I was going to say, I'd be all for having Miles replace Peter until such a time as the rights revert to Marvel. Oh well, guess it's off to college then Petey boy!

I could get behind that. No reason both studios couldn't have a Spider-Man acting independently of the other. That would actually make a lot of sense going forward too. Plus...crossover movie!

Holy crap Venom and Carnage is a movie together is my dream... wait it was my dream, but this dream also included Spider-Man so I am not sure how I feel about this news now lol.
Who to play Kletus Cassidy? he is far to old, but the way Jackie Earle Haley looked in Watchmen is kind of how I imagined a real life Kletus Cassidy would look, all be it a 5-10 years younger.
On Disney XD today there was a special on how they made Spider-Man Homecoming. I watched it with my son and it got us both even more pumped up for the movie... except the dude they have playing Flash Thompson, WTH were they thinking with that casting, Flash to me should be at least a foot taller than Peter and a hell of a lot more built as well.

Fox apparently wants to re-re-boot Fantastic Four. But his time... wait for it... as a kids movie! Fantastic Flop number 4

I thought Tranks average 4 would have kept them offscreen for at least another 4-6 years.

Why does everyone insist on adding "their spin" to it? I thought Tranks average 4 would have kept them offscreen for at least another 4-6 years. They can't wait. IIRC, if they let the property sit for too long, the rights revert back to Marvel. That's why they pushed out Trank's turd like they did. They're going to keep slamming out FF stuff because they're, to put it bluntly, a bunch of c-squareds. Even if it costs them millions of dollars and all the goodwill they've ever built up, they're by God going to go to their graves retaining the rights to a property that is mid-level at best now.

First reviews of SM:HC are starting to pop up. So far, everyone is praising it. Saying it's the "best since Spider Man 2". "It's flawless". And "it has one of the best after credit scenes yet". Does whatever a spider can

I'd honestly prefer if they just continue with the cast of Fant4stic. If FOX is going to keep pumping out FF films, just stick to your guns and do a sequel to the 2015 movie.. You can only see so many in' origin stories before you never want to see an origin story again.. The only time I care to see another Fantastic Four origin story is if MCU is doing it.. Other than that suck it up, lick your wounds and do a sequel if you're determined to keep the rights.. Do the sequel. I was thinking though we need to update the poll JokerFCOn the list that is no longer relevant: Deadpool GotG2 Civil War Doctor Strange X-Men Apocalypse Spider-Man: Homecoming (in 2 weeks) Gambit What is relevant: Thor: Ragnarok Black Panther Avengers: Infinity War Captain Marvel Avengers 4 What is missing: Deadpool 2 X-Men: Dark Phoenix Ant-Man & The Wasp Doctor Strange 2 Guardians of the Galaxy 3 Spider-Man 2 Venom New Mutants No hurry, obviously.. But definitely something to think about after SDCC, when I assume we'll hear some news..

Well Kevin Feige came out and has stated that as of now, Venom-verse is NOT part of the MCU. I don't think any of us are overly surprised by this.
I still predict this Venom movie will play out like Channing Tatum as Gambit did for Fox. Big name actor signs on, no script is that good, delay after delay, movie sits in limbo till everyone involved backs out. Then after SM:HC proves to a success (both financially and critically), Sony and Marvel agree to use all the characters in the MCU for the benefit of everyone.
