With Fantastic Four being the "first family", I could see them being mentioned in something like Ant-Man & The Wasp. Have Hank mention working with them in the past. Or maybe even have them show up in Captain Marvel. Especially since it's a flashback film. Then they can explain why none of them have been around for any other movie. Just give me Patrick Wilson as Mr Fantastic, please. The X-Men are going to be tricky. Very. Do you bring over their confusing timeline into the MCU? Do you recast? Do you talk Jackman into returning? So many possibilities. Straight up recast on everyone but Deadpool. Leave Deadpool on its own, and introduce the original five with Xavier.

I like all of these ideas. Debut the X-Men as they debuted in the comics. Xavier and the first five and go from there. Bring Wolverine in later on...but I feel like he kind of has to fight against the Hulk in some capacity. Maybe the FF have been trapped in the Negative Zone or something. Although, I'm not sure how you bring in Doom...perhaps he was stuck there with them or maybe he only rises to power after the FF return to our world.

That's what I'd prefer to see happen. Because I would love to see the original team get a fresh start. Then introduce Wolverine in a Hulk vs Wolverine film. But... I'm not sure how the contracts work. No sure if Disney would have to honor them or not. I liked some of the X-verse movies (X2, DOFP, & First Class in particular), but they've had some pretty big missteps too. Far more than ANY MCU film. IMO it's best to start new after they've laid the groundwork.

If they want me to care about Cyclops as well it needs to be a new Cyclops who leads. Not one who wines and moans because Jean became a water bird.

I know this would NEVER happen (but then again, we said the same about X-Men going to Disney) but it would be great if Disney would give Sony several movie properties in exchange for full Spider Man rights.
Rumors are Marvel knew they would be getting the rights back to FF sooner than later. And that the plan was for the Stark Tower to become the Baxter Building. Not sure I believe it, but interesting if true.

I'd be down to reboot X-Men Dark Phoenix. I didn't hate Apocalypse, but didn't think it was particularly good either. I loved First Class and Days of Future Past. With DoFP bringing the new and old casts together, and now Dark Phoenix happening, it kind of gives each of the X-Men casts 3.5 films each, so it's a pretty good time to redo it. Hopefully Dark Phoenix is good and ends it on a strong suit.
And Thor still needs 60 million to catch Homecoming worldwide gross. So it appears highly likely that Spiderman will be the top worldwide grossing superhero movie of 2017. So I think Sony is happy. Given how much ASM2 underperformed just a couple of years ago, and that this was another reboot, pretty incredible it's done so well.
Watts also confirmed to return to direct the sequel today at a Brazilian comic Con

This could be worrisome... Fantastic FourIn this article it says that the Fantastic Four may not be part of this Disney/Fox deal after all. And the reason they give is because Fox doesn't technically own the FF property. Not sure how legit this is, so take is with a grain of salt.

Meaning Constantin Films can make as many F4 films as they want but without Disney, they can’t release it anywhere. So Disney will have all of the leverage back. Constantin could always sit on the rights but that would mean no F4 at all. They either work with Disney or they own 100% of nothing. I mean sure there is the off chance they have a stand off but it’s extremely unlikely. My guess is Disney bids to buy them outright but the terms Fox had in place will be obligation until that deal expires. Seems like Constantin should just sit back and collect their fat royalty check, unless maybe they don’t like money.

Punisher Season 2 confirmed.
I think it’s the best Netflix show Marvel has done by leaps and bounds, and I say that as someone who has enjoyed everything so far, particularly Daredevil.

That’s exactly how I feel too. Idk, something about Bernthal’s portrayal of Castle is so captivating. I think it’s the best thing on Netflix at the moment. I’m glad it got the green light for another season. I just don’t understand the poor reviews from critics. If they thought JJ and Luke Cage was better? Jeeeze they must be smoking something.

Which I don't get at all. Do people really just want to see wall-to-wall action every second and not give a crap about developing the characters? Yeesh.

I literally watched one a night. I had to walk over to our wet bar after episode 3 and make myself a drink. I think if you're just trying to rush through Punisher, you're probably not latching onto the gravity of what is happening throughout the show. I mean every episode is heavy. Emotional, psychotic, violent, heavy, television. It's damn near perfect imo.

I do think Punisher would have worked better as 10 episodes than as 13. I feel that way about every Netflix MCU season since Jessica Jones.
I really enjoyed Punisher. Third favorite behind Jessica Jones and Daredevil season one. Only thing Punisher was lacking was that next level villain, which is why I doubt any season will pass JJ and DAD season one for me

My only complaint about The Punisher was the lady cop. Her acting was terrible. Her being attractive wasn’t enough for me to care about her character or her story.
