Good God......when is this entire "non event" going to go away? Utterly and completely blown out of all proportion IMO. This has got to be the biggest over reaction all around that I've ever experienced.

I'm just sad that so many people have let an admitted troll get them riled up repeatedly. Exactly. Like, just let him make his posts.

People are too sensitive.
And personally, I don't think things Hulk Hogan says in private while being illegally recorded should be held against him. He's never yelled the n-word at anyone in public. Who cares if he's racist at home. Lot's of people probably pretend to be way better people in public than they really are.
I think all of us should record ourselves at home for just ONE day and then listen back at the awful, offensive things we say without even realizing, before we go act all high and mighty and judge Hulk Hogan.

For the best part of a decade my avatar was Hogan but I've just changed it after all this mess.

The fact he is retweeting all of these fake accounts using photo's of black Premiership footballer's had me in stitches. He is getting ruined here.

You guys are all going to feel stupid when we all realise this is just the genesis of Hogan's second heel turn. (Because the NWO 2002 doesn't count)
This is the start of the Bigot World Order.

I still say the saddest part of this whole thing, is the people jumping to chastise Hogan for acts they themselves are just as guilty of. There is not one single person here or anywhere else, that hasn't said something in private that would offend someone else if brought public. It's just how it is, especially in this entitled overly sensitive world we live in now. Just because you or I might not have said the same thing as Hulk, that time you called someone a "intellectually- disabled person" or "fag" etc. is no less offensive than what he did say. I'm sure some may try to deny that theyve ever been at fault of anything such as this, and that's fine, but you're not fooling anyone..

Well apparently Hogan isn't a fan of gay people either.

Non-African people who have been feigning outrage and support the WWE have a very myopic view of this whole thing. The new developments thus far only reinforce what I have always thought about the comments; Hogan was furious at his daughter and projected this anger onto the boy she was f#cking in a very insensitive way. He was angry - which if what he said about blowing a 10 million dollar deal was true I could understand why he was so upset (which could be plausible considering it was behind closed doors and I've never heard him brag about it, probably not 10 million, but maybe a lot). He basically got on a bit of a roll with the nasty comments. Don't get me wrong, he had no right to use that word, but when you're that angry it's easy to say the most offensive thing that comes to your mind. It is that way for me anyway. I've used that word just because I have gotten cut off in traffic, but I'm not racist at all. The word meant so little to me as a white person that I had to actively think about not using that word in anger in favor of something else. Now I can't say it without choking on it. As for African Americans, the word comes with a lot of baggage, so I can't really blame them for reacting the way that they have, and Hogan really needs to speak with guys like Booker, Mark Henry, and R Truth and issue personal apologies as colleagues to them, even though it was nearly a decade ago. It would go a long way in repairing the hurt. He needs to work to repair his relationship with people of African decent (and no, not by just tweeting a hundred pictures of him standing with various black people).
I'm not nearly as bothered by the "big f@g" remark, but I can see how it can be taken badly. The n***** stuff was worse than that off the cuff remark. Furthermore, it's easy to forget that the world has gotten far more progressive thankfully since that point, f@g was a usual insult that I myself would use back then, and not as a means of calling people gay. It was a lot easier to call someone out for 'being a f@g' (saying something stupid, not wanting to go somewhere, acting like an idiot, whatever) back then. Now, because of my increased knowledge of and respect for homosexuals it is a word that I have almost completely stricken from my lexicon (although every so often it still slips out. Old habits die hard).
Honestly, this 'terribly offensive' tape is starting to bore me. I just want it to go away. The overreaction makes me sick, I'm honestly embarrassed for the WWE because if their ridiculous and swift overreaction. Yes, they absolutely had to do something, and Hogan would've been smart to come clean beforehand to Vince so that they could've planned a better exit strategy, but even with things as they are this could've been handled so much better. Hogan has been pretty quiet today, I hope he stays that way for awhile. That's the best way for this to go away.
As for people making fun of him for not knowing who the soccer players were and retweeting, I didn't know who the hell they were either, and I don't give a f#ck. I'd likely have done the same thing if I were retweeting support. 'Hahahaha, Hogan fell for our inside joke'. People say $#!t, and it isn't unheard of to think that after 8 or 9 years that they have changed and may even regret things that they said when they were at a different place in their life.
If this post makes people think of me as a racist homophobe, then there's nothing I can do about that. I don't really care, I wouldn't get along with you anyway since my sense of humor is about as irreverent as they come and you clearly have far too much sand in your hypersensitive v@gina. (Oops, probably shouldn't have said that, it might've offended someone. My bad.)

I don't need the threat of monetary or legal repercussions to avoid using ethnic or homophobic remarks. I simply don't use them because they are wrong. They exist only to degrade and they make the person using them sound uneducated. I'm not sure how all of these celebrities with millions at stake haven't learned such a simple lesson by now.

Hogan is a great guy and now his legacy has been destroyed for nothing, we all say and do unholy things in our privacy. McMahon, Flair, Hayes(ordained racist), Piper and others though, were loud and proud racist in their day, but nobody talks about them in the media...damned shame. It's hard to describe, but I can tell a true hateful person when I see them, and honestly, Hogan is not a hateful guy...I'm praying for him.
Teddy Long on the true hate he recieved in the 80's NOT FROM HULK HOGAN!!!

My first real act as WWE mod is gonna be to lock this.
It's a shame that it has happened, wish it didn't. But it's not okay and I find it strange that a few are trying to defend it.
