No Hogan means freed up slots for guys I might want more, and I don't have to bother with buying the other nWo stuff now.

It's the "any things possible in the line" idea that goes out of the window when something like this happens. It does put a downer on things but as long as Mattel continue to produce wanted and quality figures I'll keep collecting. (Although I've got my concerns about that also)

It sucks - but it's by no means the end of the world. On the plus side, we did get some great Hogan figures (the DM figure remains one of my favourite ever Mattel figures) - and 4 different heads/likenesses - which is amazing, given the short time period. And there are some awesome custom Hollywood figures out there...

After reading all these threads, collecting isn't fun anymore. It's why I kind of detached myself from the forums for a while. All the whining takes away from the fun. If a hobby that's supposed to be fun bothers you this much, you shouldn't be doing it.

I did start collecting Mattel WWE figures because of DM Hogan, but there a lot of good figures to keep my interest.

Mentioning no names, of course. *cough* theaxehennig *cough* Which might belong to hulkamania 4 life *cough* I thought that actually when I saw it. If I could afford it, I'd ask him to do mine when it comes to it. I'll have a go myself and see how it goes...

I got to admit , losing hogan killed a lot of the buzz for me as well, But I was already losing interest in the hobby.
Before sdcc hit, I went out on a limb and put about 50 figures for sale on ebay, cutting my collection nearly in half. Now I'm thinking about putting another 50 on ebay....
It was a nice distraction for a while and I love the nostalgia but that's all it seems to be for me now is a distraction. I have about 60 figures right now, a macho man shelf, an 88-89 shelf , an early 90s shelf and an Nwo shelf.... And on top of the display a handful of world champions and 5 moc figures
Thinking about drastically cutting it down again.... Not exactly because of hogan , that did kill some of the buzz for me but just because I would rather have money than little plastic men at this point

I'm gonna make a nice DM box to put him in...

Hogan is the last on my priority list. I don't give a if we never see a Mattel Hogan again.

For me Hogan is the icing on the cake - yes I will still collect... But I have been moving away from WWE for a while. SDCC sux. There I said it. The whole DM debarkable was just appalling - poor Mattel blah blah blah. Usually I come out of SDCC thinking "how the hell am I going to get all I want". This year I could count the figures I wanted on 1 hand. I have been looking at 1/6 figures a lot more. I plan on getting Storm Hogans, and I hope and pray a Hart, Savage or Warrior is next. I have a pretty serious Play Arts collection happening now, and I plan on adding to my Enterbay Jordan. I will still buy figures, but I reckon I might get 10-15 in the next 12 months, pending HOF series.
