Just finished watching the entire WWE Born To Controversy 4 Disc DVD set and it was awesome. Enjoyed every minute of it.
So many classic moments and unforgettable memories.
I really hope WWE goes all out and gives Roddy a great tribute. A live bagpipe band would be incredible and very fitting.
It pains me knowing we will never get to see or enjoy another live Piper's Pit ever again.
I think many of his old foes were waiting at the Pearly Gates for Hot Rod just so they can extract a little bit of revenge.
I'm sure Frankie Williams and Adrian Adonis were waiting anxiously, lol.
Roddy is now with all his FRATS in the big ring in the sky.

This one caught me much more off guard than any in recent memory.. Hot Rod has always been somebody I was entertained by, and especially in recent years I've truly come to appreciate how great of a heel and mic worker he was.

Really nice little tribute by Ronda. Hopefully they have a 10 bell tribute to him tomorrow on Raw. If anyone ever deserved it, Its him.

It's been a mind numbing couple of days since the news broke that Roddy passed away. I've been one of the biggest Piper fans ever since I saw him beat up Frankie Williams oh so many years ago. It was actually the first thing I ever saw in wrestling and I've been his fan ever since. From his WWF, WCW, TNA days to all his movies and tv shows and PSAs and everything else you can imagine. Thanks to Roddy I've become the person I am today. I'm an actor and former indy wrestler and I've done pretty much everything I have ever wanted to do and that is entirely because of Roddy. This is heartbreaking, it feels like a member of my family died. Yes. It hits that deep. Some may scoff and say he was just a wrestler, it's ok to be sad but like losing a member of the family? Yes. I've met Roddy three times, in fact, the first time I met Roddy was an in store signing for the ill fated XWF. Roddy stopped the line because he got a phone call on his cell phone. After a few minutes he hung up the phone and waved me over as I was the next in line. He had the biggest smile on his face and told me that he just found out his daughter gave birth and he's now a grandpa. He held my face in his hands and hugged me tight. And that's how it was every single time I met Roddy or talked with him. We exchanged many times on Twitter and I've done the same with his daughter Ariel, his son Colt, and his wife Kitty. They were just so amazing and kind to me. We exchanged personal things and just the joy when they all spoke about each other, that's the family life everyone would love to have. My heart goes out to Roddy's family and friends. The out pouring of love from every aspect of life shows how loved and respected Roddy was. Roddy always called himself a "villain" but in our hearts and minds, he was the biggest hero anyone could ever have.
Thank you from the bottom of my villain heart for helping me get the life I have today. I, along with everyone else you've touched with your greatness, will continue to fight for the rebel, we will fight for the outcast, we will fight for the one who dares to dream and the one who will never retreat and that will never surrender.
There isn't anything in wrestling for me anymore. When Roddy died, so did my care for this sport. It's been a hell of a 30 year ride. Time to be heading towards those burning sands. I think back to what Roddy said when he first retired back in 1987. To you all....may you be a half and hour in heaven before the devil knows you're dead!

At NEW Wrestling's Wrestling Under The Stars, they did a very nice 10 bell salute which had not even one peep from a little kid, Flair spoke from the heart as did Lanny Poffo. Someone said What are those to Lanny's Sandals *facepalm*

Roddy Piper used to be one of my favorite old school guys to just listen to on the mic. He was one of the best on the mic. R.I.P. Roddy Piper.

They should end the tribute video tomorrow with the clip from Legends House of him playing Moonlight Sonata Re watching that my heart breaks for Jim cause that new friendship with Piper meant the world to him. Man, what a great clip that was. Hacksaw and Jake Roberts are supposed to be appearing at a toy show today in Hamilton but I seriously doubt they will be there, especially Hacksaw. I think he will be in attendance at Raw instead and rightfully so. It's going to be a very emotional night on Raw as we all say goodbye to one of the all time greats, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper.

Having not been on here for a couple of days, the first I knew of this, was when Rousey spoke about it in her post-fight interview - and being half asleep, I didn't catch what she said properly, and at first thought I was hearing things... I wish I had been. Piper was one of my earliest memories of watching wrestling. A man and a career never to be forgotten - although I've tried to forget 'Celebrity Wrestling'... I still can't believe he did that show. It's strange, I decided to watch Summerslam '92, on a whim, and just before the main event there's a surprise appearance by Piper, who plays 'Scotland The Brave' on the bagpipes with the Balmoral Highlanders. That was pretty much the last thing I watched of it, as I turned it off soon after... seems rather poignant now. It's sad that we'll never again see him pop up in one of those surprise appearances. I had been waiting to see what Punk was going to say. Without Roddy Piper, there may very well not have been a CM Punk.
