RIP Rowdy Roddy Piper. One of the greatest of all time. He chewed all the bubblegum and kicked all the asses.
Does anybody think his death was cancer related? 61 is way too young for somebody to die of natural causes all of a sudden and even though he said he was cancer-free recently, as somebody who has seen many loved ones pass away from cancer, I know it doesn't really go away.

RIP Roddy. I have read his timeline, watched interviews, listened to podcasts, and been reading a lot of recent Piper stuff. I have to ask; was he losing his mind? Seems if you piece everything together he either was or he was dealing with a lot of emotional pain and baggage of the friends he lost along the way. Some eerie stuff I have found - he said in that haunted episode that he wishes all the time in that one room in his house that he would "go to sleep and never wake up" and that is exactly how he passed. Also read back the last month or so on his timeline and beyond.. talks a lot about dying and pain and being down in the dumps I'm not sure, but it definitely seems that toward the end, he got a little more "out there" than usual with regards to what he would talk about and how he'd say things. I was never convinced that he wasn't ACTUALLY a bit insane.

Roddy has always been a favorite of mine as soon as I saw him for the first time. Think I will put on his "Dog Collar" chain match vs Valentine. Follow it with some Pits and end with They Live. I will never forget the time I saw him in the TV Movie "The Highwayman". My friend an I were watching it saying how stupid it looked and then a minute into it here comes Piper riding a motorcycle next to a blonde in a red convertible yelling at her I damn near fell out of my seat because I had no idea he was in it. Needless to say we ended up staying at his house watching the movie that two minutes earlier we thought was the dumbest thing ever put on film. lol
