a good start to chris hero? I say no. You need a shirted torso first off. You need to paint the pants more blue or another color. I don't see the head working either.

Sculpey (or super sculpey) is probably the most popular choice, but some people use Aves Apoxie Sculpt, which I'm not familiar with. You can use a toothpick to carve out any designs in the clay, in this case, the hair detail. Once it's done, it needs to be heated to harden. Place it in some boiling water for about 10-15 seconds, then let it dry. I usually do that about 2 or 3 times, then let it sit for awhile, and it usually turns out pretty well. You also might want to coat the clay with a bit of superglue for a little extra protection before you start painting it. The only way I've taken apart a figure at the waist without splitting the torso is by shoving a scalpel into the waist joint and cutting away at the joint. If you do this, be VERY VERY careful. I've ended up with some cuts and slices on my thumbs. Plus, the top of the joint might end up rattling around inside the torso. After that, I'll just crazy glue the torso to the new lower body and do my best to scrape away all the excess glue once it's dry. Hope this helps.
