If Surge could make a comeback, I see no reason why this can't either

All Ecto-Cooler is is Orange Lavaburst Hi-C with green food coloring. So if you want Ecto-Cooler, just go buy Orange Lavaburst. It won't be green, bu it's he exact same taste.

It's like Ecto-Coolers never went away, really. In fact, I remember that they had that type of Hi-C at Hardees when Ghostbusters 2 came out but it wasn't colored green. I want to say it was even part of the GB2 Commercial that Hardees had because of the promotional cups they were offering. Good times.

Exactly....yeah, I don't get why people are like "oh my childhood! bring back Ecto-cooler!" I mean, yeah, slimer isn't on the box, and I don't think you can get Hi-C in those big ass metal oil cans anymore....but Orange lavaburst is the exact same juice. What they really need to bring back is Ninja Turtles cereal. It was a million times better than lucky charms and no marshmallow cereal has even ever come CLOSE to being as good as Ninja Turtles cereal.

There's no hipocracy here, man. You gotta actually read. I said people need to stop complaining about Ecto Cooler because it still exists just in a different box. There is NOTHING on the market that tastes like Ninja Turtles cereal did, so I don't have a replacement for that. You can go out and get Ecto Cooler if you want, it's just called Orange Lavaburst, but I can't get a cereal that is the exact same thing as Ninja Turtles cereal tasted like but in a different box with different shapes. That's the difference.

Orange Lavaburst is similar, but is not an identical flavor to Ecto Cooler/Shoutin' Orange Tangergreen/Crazy Citrus Cooler.

The only reason you say "it's just Lava burst in a different box" is just cause you lazily assume cause it's orange based, they MUST all be the same. I could say the same thing about your Ninja Turtles Cereal (cause back in the 80s and 90s, anything AND everything had a cereal, so they MUST be the same, right?) To the OP, Good God yes! I would LOVE for that to be brought back. I'd buy cases. Hell, it'd be the ONLY reason to get a Costco membership!

Ecto Cooler/Shoutin' Orange Tangergreen/Crazy Citrus Cooler has a different flavor profile than Orange Lavaburst. Similar, in that they both are orange based, but Lavaburst doesn't contain any tangerine flavoring, which was what set the aforementioned products apart. And I know - parties could prattle on and on and on about how oranges and tangerines are the same (they aren't), but the difference is there. To boot, one could look at the fact that right around the time that Hi-C switched over to that sort of sewage pale yellow tint in all its products to advertise as stain-free, Orange Lavaburst and Shoutin' Orange Tangergreen (which was the post-Slimer repackaged Ecto Cooler profile) were both currently produced Hi-C products.

This thread took the weirdest ****ing turn. I'm not complaining either. Just never thought I'd learn so much about current and past Hi-C products.
Now if someone could kindly explain to me why Cookie Crisp now tastes like ass, I'll be set for a few years.

I know I had it, but I don't remember what it tastes like.
The Ecto Cooler is sort of like the WWF Ice Cream bars and the TMNT Turtle Pies. I don't remember what they taste like but I know I consumed them back in the day.

Can't help you on the Cookie Crisp query, but I'd be willing to theorize either a simple matter of evolving taste buds or the big shift several years back when cereal manufacturers came under fire for targeting younger demographics with enticing box arts and toys to draw them into an unhealthy product. Notice how Sugar Smacks are no longer called Sugar Smacks? #junkfoodjunkie

I loved it when I was a kid but I think it'd be a little too high in sugar for my liking these days.

Stop bitching about Ecto-Cooler.
It was awesome when we were kids. I don't care how long they made it or what it was called later. If it didn't that've Slimer on the box then I wasn't interested.
Bring it back as a promotional tool for the new movie.

A brewery in Pennsylvania recently made a beer themed after it called Necto Cooler. If I had known about it, I would have made that drive.
