Arkansas got saved by that face mask penalty in OT. Missing the first 2 pt conversion attempt almost nullified that crazy 4th down lateral. They got so lucky on that lateral. The guy just chucked it up behind him hoping for the best and Collins picked up the ball and had a train to run behind and got the first down on 4th and 25 or 26 I believe it was. Now it's time for LSU/Alabama and deep dish pizza.

Alabama just stonewalled the best RB in the country and a possible Heisman candidate, that's impressive. Derrick Henry had an awesome game as well.

Stanford & ND play each other & Baylor/OK st play each other so it will cancel each other out there. I think those 2 games will determine 4 & 5. Iowa vs OSU *should* eliminate Iowa and Bama vs Florida will knock out Florida.

What the hell is the background of this Missouri thing? 2 days ago I had no idea there was any upheaval at UM and then all of a sudden players unite against the president, someone goes on a hunger strike and then the president resigns. I haven't heard anything about what the actual racist incidents were that sparked this.

Looks like the Tide has lost Kenyan Drake for the second season in a row. Pretty sure he broke either his right arm or wrist covering a kickoff return.
Really like the dynamics he's able to provide, but just has a hard time staying on the field.

I have no idea what David Shaw was thinking during that game. Oregon could not stop Hogan passing the 2nd to last drive he goes 17yds, 17yds 18yds to drive them down the field...Then Shaw calls 3 straight running plays and they end up fumbling.

Another week, another crop of Top Ten teams go down. Baylor, Stanford, LSU, and Utah all went down which should vault Oklahoma near the Top 5. I'm sure the committee likes their win against Baylor more than Oklahoma State's against TCU.

I'm sure the committee likes their win against Baylor more than Oklahoma State's against TCU. As a Baylor fan, the committee seems to lambaste them a little harder than other big 12 teams, even though they tend to take every opportunity to knock down the big 12, in general. Granted Baylor was outplayed, by a wide margin defensively, and the quarterback was apprehensive to try to open it up, but there was the factor of the heavy rain, chilly temp, and freshman quarterback in the first start at home, against the "hardest" defensive team he would face yet. Not to say Baylor doesn't deserve to drop a few spots, but out of the top 10, that seems a bit harsh. They still can be one of the best offenses around....

New CFP Rankings are out. I didn't think ND would fall from #4 just yet but the Big 12 is gaining a lot of momentum with Oklahoma and Oklahoma State so if either of those teams win out they'll probably (hopefully) get in over a 1-loss Notre Dame. I think North Carolina and Houston should be getting more love rankings wise but they both have big games on the schedule still and if NC wins out, they're in. Nice to see my Ducks back in the Top 25, helps to have a healthy Vernon Adams for the first time in almost 2 months.
#1 Clemson (10-0) #2 Alabama (9-1) #3 Ohio State (10-0) #4 Notre Dame (9-1) #5 Iowa (10-0) #6 Oklahoma State (10-0) #7 Oklahoma (9-1) #8 Florida (9-1) #9 Michigan State (9-1) #10 Baylor (8-1) #11 Stanford (8-2) #12 Michigan (8-2) #13 Utah (8-2) #14 Florida State (8-2) #15 LSU (7-2) #16 Navy (8-1) #17 North Carolina (9-1) #18 TCU (9-1) #19 Houston (10-0) #20 Northwestern (8-2) #21 Memphis (8-2) #22 Ole Miss (7-3) #23 Oregon (7-3) #24 USC (7-3) #25 Wisconsin (8-2)

The committee still looks at quality wins & quality losses, while beating the #1 team in Clemson would be impressive, it doesnt over take playing all the other cup cakes in the conference & a loss to a really bad South Carolina team. The top 4 now to me is the top 4 that we will have in the final. Clemson & Ohio State winning their conferences & going undefeated isnt enough for anyone out of the top 4 to jump them. Bama beating Florida and Notre Dame over Stanford should be quality wins enough to not be jumped. The absolute only question mark would be if OSU beats the snot out of OU & ND just barely squeaks by Stanford, and Undefeated Big12 team might be able to sneak in over ND because neither have conf championship games. Honestly, Id be willing to bet that nobody past Michigan State even has a chance to get into the playoffs unless every team loses at least 1 more game which is HIGHLY unlikely.

I still think UNC has a shot, in the end if they have a 12-1 record by beating Clemson and the last image of them is hoisting the ACC Title I think (if ND does indeed fall out in favor of the Big 12) that we would see the ACC, SEC, Big 12 and Big 10 champs in the Final Four. UNC is kinda in the same boat as Oklahoma where they're playing their best football at the right time, but I dont see them beating Clemson anyway so thats that I guess, but yeah pretty much the Top 4 in the end will come from the current Top 9. The Pac-12 essentially knocked themselves out this past weekend though they still have a slim shot at getting in, but its reeeeeeally slim. What surprises me the most is Danny Kannell putting Bama #4. They're playing like they're auditioning to be the 33rd NFL team.

At this point, Pitt will be in a Bowl game and we'll have Connor back next year and are only losing a couple of players so I'm not too worried about my Panthers.
So I'm pulling for Navy to just throttle some people just because Navy.

Still holding out hope that Michigan beating OSU and then undefeated Iowa in the Big Ten Championship at 11-2 with a fluke loss to MSU and a very early season loss to a top-15 Utah will be okay. Please.
Please.
