At long last, I finally completed the custom ring I started making last year. Behold: The design is pretty much identical to that of a real ring. Two noteworthy features of this ring is that you can do things like this: And this: As usual, click HERE to see more details over at my blog. Feedback welcome!

My ESR doesn't feel worthy after seeing those details! Well done my friend.

I really wish something of this quality was available for purchase. Are the eyelets going into the wood not likely to be pulled out eventually from the tension of the ropes? The threads seem really thin.

The threads seem really thin. The eyelets are not likely to be pulled out, no. (i) I drilled the hole in the metal a size smaller than the eyelet screw threads, so they actually screw into the metal and then into the wood for reinforcement. (ii) I filled each pilot hole in the wood with wood glue before screwing in the eyelets for extra reinforcement as well. (iii) The rig ropes just aren't strong enough to do that. I think the factory-made mini turnbuckles that hook into the eyelets would break before the eyelets would get pulled out. I'd be happy to make more and sell them; the difficulty is obtaining more sets of factory-made mini turnbuckles, turnbuckle pads, and ring aprons. I don't want to purchase an ESR every time I make a much better custom ring! Maybe the best way to churn these out would be to just sell the frame, cables, ring posts, ring top, and canvas. If you already have an ESR, you can simply dress it up with the accessories from that.

Oh, that sounds super sturdy then. Yea I have an ASR so I would definitely buy the rest of the parts. What are the dimensions on yours? It seems smaller than the mammoth ASR. I don't like how big the ASR is.

I don't like how big the ASR is. The square frame is about 22.5"x22.5". It is slightly smaller than my ESR. I can't imagine a realistically-sized ring being any bigger than that!

If you decide to sell these would it be possible to make smaller frames? Like 18"-20"?

If you decide to sell these would it be possible to make smaller frames? Like 18"-20"? Of course, that would be easy enough. But I must say, I looked at a lot of video and pictures to get my scale estimate, and I'm pretty confident that something very close to 22.5"x22.5" is true.

Come to think of it, didn't the old WCW ring used to be 16'x16'? If you're used to that look, something like 18"x18" or 20"x20" might be more accurate.

I have the ASR and it's too big for my liking. I did watch a ton of WCW during the Monday Night Wars. Anyway i'm definitely interested in buying one. Let me know if you start taking orders.

Is it RSR or ESR sized? What do you think your price would be?

Dude, that is sick. I'd be happy to pay for the frame, cables, ring posts, ring tops and canvas for $100! That ring blows the ASR out of the water.

Holy crap, what a fantastic ring! I've seen some amazing rings on here before, but this is the greatest custom ring I've ever seen!
I would love it if you started selling frame, cables, ring posts, ring tops and canvas, because I would love to make a ring like that.
