I really like Dolph Ziggler, but his current character is awful. I didn't even notice he was gone until he returned.

Ziggler's concussion & face turn killed him. I wish for once the WWE wouldn't have given in to what the fans wanted & kept him as a heel.

Ziggler has never done anything for me, I hate his look, his character, his merch, his in ring style, his promos.. Everything. He sucks and always has IMO. To be honest, I think his most entertaining point was when he first debuted and would constantly introduce himself to everyone. Other than that, nothing sticks with me about him, I had honestly already forgotten he was the soul survivor against the authority up until reading it just now.

Goldberg and Steiner were way, way better. Tons more authority, and far more entertaining. That's the problem with Dolph's talking... It's not so bad it's good the way some of Steiner's insane ramblings were, it's just so bad it's bad. Steiner's were so bad that they have become highlights lol. I will give you that. What? Those two where much more legitimate and entertaining on the mic. Goldberg has "natural" charisma, he doesn't need to cut a hard hitting promo, Steiner looks and sounds legit. Steiner and Goldberg where also legitimate draws, something Ziggler will never be.

I'm biased because those are two of my favorite wrestlers however.

Talented performer, but he isn't any fun to watch right now. Hasn't been since they broke up his stable with AJ and Big E Langston

I don't know where he'll go after this, he's a bloke who is simply just 'there'...he's got a niche and it's fine; a plateau if you will...

I never understood why Ziggler never fueded with Cena after Cena undid what Ziggler did at Survival Series when he reinstated the authority.

Seriously though, he doesn't work as a boyscout, Clark Kent babyface. He's a bad boy. He's New Generation Shawn Michaels all over again. It's ridiculous to consider him in the same breath as any era Shawn Michaels. Dolph Ziggler is no kind of bad boy. When he was a heel, he couldn't work a crowd to save his life. He just worked for praise on forums, not for the boos of the audience. He's fine as a white-meat midcard babyface, but he's entirely useless in any other position on the card. I meant in general demeanor & fluidity in the ring. Relax, your holiness.

I agree there isn't really anywhere to go with this feud.
Ziggler is much better as a heel I agree, you know who else is much better as a heel? Lana...
I feel like they are ruining her as well, we loved her for her no-nonsense aggression. Lana worked perfectly with Rusev...

I respect Dolph, I really do. The dude can wrestle like a mad man, but truly, I've never connected with him, and he's not the promo he seems to think he is.

Ziggler is a great talent. Athletic and I don't think anyone 'sells' better than him. However I believe vs. Rusev he's too outmatched against size & strength. This is one of those time periods in many a WWE stars career where the WWE doesnt' know what to do with the star. I say just throw Ziggler back into the Intercontinental championship mix (since he's a great IC champ) since I don't believe he makes for a good WWE champion.

I've long been a 'hater' of Dolphs forced pushes, if you like.
I'm not gunna deny the guy has god given ability in the ring, my issue is that so do multiple other wrestlers within WWE. Many of which haven't even had ONE main event level push, whereas Ziggler has had multiple failed runs.
Yes, of course, injuries, bad luck, "current WWE events", and general bad timing have all attributed towards Ziggler not quite transcending to a perminant main event fixture. Unfortunately, he's been done to death now. He's going to need one hell of a refresher to shift himself out of this stale face run he's currently on.
There's a ton of talent itching for a push, and the reason we begrudge WWE for not pushing them is because they continue to try and push Ziggler at mid-level. It's a double edged sword!
A repackaged Cody Rhodes, Cesaro, Neville, hell even Randy Orton would be much more befitting of this feud with Rusev. As much as Orton has been done to death, at least Rusev would get a rub from one of WWEs preferable top stars if he managed a clean win. A clean win over Ziggler is hardly worth tying up your boots these days.
