The field for the Tag Trios Championship tournament next month at Aged to Perfection continues to take shape in today's news for the event beginning a month from today!
"In a bit of an odd pairing, the quirky computer hacker Solomon Crowe surprised the heavy metal throwbacks The Ascension by asking them to join forces Nov. 27-29. The newest members of the SLAM! official roster surprised him back by agreeing to his terms in pursuit of championship gold!"
"Not satisfied with their showing at Insidious in the Monster's Ball, the three SLAM! Guest Stars from the match will return in one month at Aged to Perfection looking to stake their claim on the Tag Trios Championship as Classic Fear!"
Some seriously cool teams. I really like the Ascension's team.
Sorry, fellas! I've been majorly stressed out with work the past couple days so SLAM! was the last thing on my mind. Here's the update that would have come out on Thursday.
Oct. 31, 2015
SLAM! is today officially announcing the signing of two men to contracts for next month's Aged to Perfection event as well as the format that will be used to decide the first ever SLAM! Super X Cup Holder.
The first of two triple threat matches to be announced as qualifiers for the Super X Cup Championship match at Night 2 of Aged to Perfection is now official. Dean Malenko will take on Justin Gabriel and Xavier Woods in this three-way dance. Only the person who takes the pinfall is eliminated as the two other competitors will move on to a four-way match on Night 2 to take on the two surviving members of the second triple threat bout of Night 1. In an effort to reduce double teaming in the match, SLAM! officials have signed six diverse competitors that do not have much history with each other and have promised the wrestler who gets the pinfall on night one an additional stipulation.
"The high-flying South African 'Darewolf,' Justin Gabriel hopes to earn himself a long-term contract when he competes at SLAM!'s Tenth Anniversary. What better way to do that than taking home the Super X Cup? Can I get a 'Yeah?'"
"It will be a very whole New Day when Dr. Xavier Woods shows up to stake his claim on the Super X Cup on November 28."
The calendar turns to November but the news cycle for Aged to Perfection is just heating up! Today, we announced the next two trios teams set for the Tag Trios Championship tournament that will take place November 27-29 as part of SLAM!'s Tenth Anniversary weekend.
The self-proclaimed premier trios team in SLAM! Wrestling, Money & Power, officially join the tournament field. Big E Langston, Mark Henry, and MVP will look to prove that title belongs in their name as they look to take home the Tag Trios Championship.
"Rejected by past employers, the team of Barretta, Chris Hero, and Brian Meyers will be guest stars at Aged to Perfection looking to earn a permanent slot on the SLAM! roster in addition to the Tag Trios gold.
My apologies once again for neglecting the board and the SLAM! news thread. I'll have two updates today and another tomorrow and then I'll be caught up with what you need to know before night one of Aged to Perfection on Nov. 28.

SLAM! Wrestling would like to thank all of our nation's veterans who served at home and abroad on this Veterans' Day in the United States.
Today, SLAM! Wrestling can officially confirm the rumors that had circulated last month at Insidious: Tyler Breeze's victory over Celeste Bonin has earned him a shot at the SLAM! Just two weeks away from SLAM! Wrestling's trip to Japan, and officials have already made their way across the Pacific to the land of the Rising Sun for SLAM!'s RISING on Dec. 18. Today, SLAM! officials confirmed the contracts have been signed for the match announced on night two of SLAM!'s Aged to Perfection!
Bryan Danielson and Celeste Bonin will do battle before the fans in Tokyo with a future World Class Championship match on the line! The two felt wronged by new World Class Champion Rob Conway in the battle royal at Aged to Perfection, and the winner of this match will get the chance to prove that against them.
Additionally, SLAM! officials can report that they have mutually parted ways with Justin Gabriel, Solomon Crowe, and Xavier Woods. Each will be retained as SLAM! guest stars.
Today, SLAM! Wrestling can officially announce the addition of a second match to Dec. 18's Rising event just ten days away from Tokyo, Japan. As announced previously, the event will mark the return of KENTA to SLAM! and he will be in action against Matt Sydal!
Sydal will look to derail the comeback of the Japanese star and leave him in Japan, while KENTA looks to make an impact and prove he belongs on the roster of SLAM! once again in front of the American audience!
The next match announcement for next week's Rising event from Tokyo, Japan comes as the team travels to Japan to get acquainted with the time different starting this weekend. Additional matches will be announced next week for the six-match card in addition to a pair of matches scheduled only for the live crowd.
The newly formed Balor Club will make its official return to the SLAM! active roster as Finn Balor teams with Giant Bernard and Luke Gallows in trios action against the team of Nightmare Infestation which will get a second chance to impress SLAM! brass after first appearing in the Tag Trios Championship tournament last month. Both trios have much to prove, but only one can walk out a winner on December 18 at SLAM!'s Rising.
The next two matches for SLAM!'s Rising event -- happening this Saturday in Tokyo, Japan -- are now official, and they will each serve as showcase matches for SLAM! Champions.
In a battle a long time coming, one-third of the Tag Trios Champions, MVP will team with SLAM! newcomer Naomi Knight to take on the team of C.M. Punk and his devoted fan, A.J. Lee. For months, Lee has interfered in Punk's matches, but in Tokyo, she will have the chance to get physical in an official capacity. Meanwhile, MVP returns to Japan where he had the most success of his career.
In the fifth official match for the card, the other two-thirds of SLAM!'s Tag Trios Champions, Big E Langston and Mark Henry, will team up with the Ascension in a 4-on-4 Showcase against four of SLAM!'s top stars, including the first ever SLAM! Super X Cup Holder, KimberLee! The Hurricane will look for revenge against Ascension after their attack, along with Stardust, at last month's Aged to Perfection event. Adrian Neville and Sami Zayn will look to get momentum back on their side after falling against Money & Power in the Tag Trios Tournament.
One more match will be announced Tuesday for the broadcast portion of the event set to air this Saturday on the WF Network, and two more matches will take place at the live event for the Japanese fans.
Today, SLAM! officials can announce the the main event of Saturday's Rising event from Tokyo, Japan. The challenge was made at last month's Aged to Perfection event, but today the stakes are raised:
The "Redneck Messiah" Jamie Noble and Paige will settle their feud inside a steel cage on Saturday night, and as promised by Noble last month, a loss by the self-proclaimed Real American will end his wrestling career at SLAM! Wrestling if he loses the match. Meanwhile, Paige can get some revenge -- last time they fought, Noble waved the Gadsden flag above her head in celebration of his victory and added insult to injury by continuing to disparage the female competitors of SLAM!
SLAM! brass can now officially announced the six major events taking place over the first few months of the year, beginning January 23 with SLAM WARS Episode #1: MENACE. This will be the last news update of the year as the company is in a bit of disarray after the closing events at the end of this past weekend's Rising event from Tokyo, Japan. Commissioner Fitzsimmons has not been seen or heard from since an unknown assailant kidnapped him following the conclusion of the show's main event match. Everyone on the roster has been called in for questioning this week as an investigation continues. More details will be released when available.
So, I've decided to just do one news dump weekly instead of several short ones. That was I just need to pick a day where I'm lazy busy. So, without further adu...

Today, SLAM! Wrestling officials have announced the first details for SLAM WARS Episode #1: Menace on January 23.
According to leaked security footage captured by SLAM! officials, it appears plans are in store for an interim commissioner to be named while the investigation continues into the disappearance of Commissioner Fitzsimmons. SLAM! Producer Joey Mercury got in touch with the Acolytes Protection Agency, paying a hefty sum for their services in protecting the interim commissioner beginning at Menace. Who that individual will be remains to be seen, but he or she certainly will have a tough security force when they walk into the arena.
Part of the interim commissioner's duties was done for them as SLAM! World Class Champion Rob Conway issued an open challenge for Menace on last month's Intermission Show during the broadcast on WF Network. Who will step up to take the challenge of the SLAM! Hall of Famer? You'll have to tune in on January 23 to find out.
Following The Shield's appearance in the Tag Trios Championship Tournament two months ago at SLAM!'s Tenth Anniversary weekend, Dean Ambrose walked off and has yet to be seen in a SLAM! arena since. Meanwhile, his Shield brethren Seth Rollins walked back into the arena. We now know why as the athlete will make his return to a SLAM! ring in singles action at Menace. Rollins will take on Joe Hennig in his return to the ring hoping to make an immediate impact as a singles star on January 23.
Just nine days away from the first stop of the SLAM WARS mini season, Menace, live from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. SLAM! Wrestling officials and the interim commissioner have released the following details.
The live crowd in Philly will be in for a treat as KENTA makes his return to American soil to take on "Ice Man" Dean Malenko. The match will also be available on the DVD release of Menace and highlights will be shown during the intermission show for the at-home audience watching on the WF Network.
Speaking of the intermission show, this month, Jonathan Coachman speaks with Super X Cup Holder Kimber Lee in his monthly interview. He will also have details about the future of the Super X Cup and Kimber Lee's first defense!
The Balor Club made an impressive debut in Tokyo, and the group will be in Tag Trios action once again at Menace. Finn, Giant Bernard, and Luke Gallows will take on the Hart Dynasty members Davey Boy Smith, Jr., Natalya Neidhart, and Tyson Kidd. After some dissension in the ranks of the Hart Dynasty last month, the trio will need to unite if they hope to down the Club, which looked downright dominant last time out against the Nightmare Infestation.
Today, SLAM! Wrestling officials have released the final details of Saturday's Menace event, episode 1 of the SLAM WARS miniseason.
After months out of commission with a concussion as the result of an assault by Samoa Joe, Alberto "el Patron" returns to SLAM! Wrestling to address the fans in attendance at The Arena in Philadelphia. His assistant, Rodriguez, is sure to be involved as well. What will el Patron have to say in regards to his future in SLAM! and will he be seeking revenge against the suspended Samoa Joe?
Two feuds between SLAM! Wrestling's top female stars will collide in one tag team match as the "Chickbusters" will reunite for one night only as Celeste Bonin teams with A.J. Lee against Naomi Knight and the recently debuted Crazy Mary Dobson. After Dobson's assault on Bonin at Rising, will 'The Beauty & Brawn of SLAM! Wrestling' be ready to compete? How will Knight react after AJ Lee made her tap out in tag team action last week?
The grudge match several months in the making will come to a head as Stardust finally steps in the ring against The Hurricane. With Cody Rhodes seemingly on the Hurricane's side, who is the man behind the Stardust mask? Will SLAM!'s resident super hero get the revenge he so greatly desires? Or will the Menace continue to play with his emotions? Tune in Saturday live on the WF Network for the sold out event in Philadelphia!

Six competitors will compete in another multi-person tournament featuring two qualifying triple threats and a four-way bout to determine a new number one contender for Kimber Lee's Super X Cup. One more bout is scheduled for the event, and all the matches will be announced in next week's SLAM WARS news post.
For the first time since its return, SLAM! will put on two events in two different cities in one month. Sticking with the theme of January's Menace, the next time SLAM! Wrestling bring a live iPPV to the WF Network will also hold a one-word title. This one, simple as well: Attack. Announced for the event already are a tag team match pitting Samoa Joe in his in-ring return and Jamie Noble against Alberto 'el Patron' and a partner of his choosing. Also, MVP set out a challenge, perhaps without the approval of his fellow champions, to defend the Tag Trios Titles against the men known as SLAM!'s "All Stars" - Adrian Neville, C.M. Punk, and Sami Zayn. More details on the event will be announced in the weeks to come.
SLAM! Wrestling will celebrate National Pro-Wrestling Day this Saturday taking part in a special event in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with five matches on the card. Additionally, SLAM! has added several names officially to its roster.
After making several appearances as guest stars, the members of Nightmare Infestation - the Fire Ant, Frightmare, and Jigsaw - officially joined the cast of SLAM WARS for the months ahead. They'll each compete at National Pro-Wrestling Day this weekend. In addition, the "Iconic" Matt Hardy will return to SLAM! Wrestling soon. He previously competed in the Tag Trios Tournament alongside The Hurricane -- and he'll no doubt have something to say regarding the latest happenings regarding his "Super Friend" and the menace known as Stardust. Additionally, Bo Dallas and Kevin Owens have officially been added to the roster as hyped during the latest SLAM! events.
Another pair will return at NPWD 2016 this Saturday, Miroslav Rusev and Lana. Rusev returns to action this weekend at National Pro Wrestling Day as well.
At least one member of Nightmare Infestation will be seeking championship gold this weekend. Frightmare will take on Johnny Mundo, who previously competed for SLAM! alongside The Underground in the Tag Trios Championship Tournament, and Tyson Kidd. Kidd shifts his focus to the Super X Cup after Davey Boy Smith, Jr. turned his back on Kidd and Natalya, splitting up the Hart Dynasty and joining Finn Balor and Big in Japan.
The other triple threat match in the Super X Showcase will pit SLAM! roster members KENTA and El Torito against another guest star, Kofi Kingston. Kingston competed for SLAM! in the Tag Trios Championship Tournament as part of the "New Breed" with Zack Ryder and Matt Sydal. As with the previous Super X Showcase, only the person who is pinned will be eliminated as the remaining two competitors advance to a four-way match with a shot at the Super X Cup on the line!

World Class Championship.
“The Ravishing Russian” Lana makes her way down the entranceway, introducing the “Bulgarian Brute” Miroslav Rusev. She disparages commissioner Fitzsimmons for leaving Rusev out of his plans heading into the new year, and praises interim commissioner Maddox for bringing them back. Backstage, Kofi Kingston has his bags and is about to head out of the arena when he runs into Xavier Woods, another former SLAM! guest star. “Hey Kofi, tough break out there,” Woods says, as Kofi turns to shake his hand. “Yeah, didn’t expect to get a two-on-one, but hey, tomorrow is a new day.” The pair both nod, turning toward the cameraman with serious faces.
Current Super X Cup Holder Kimber Lee makes her way down the entryway and joins Coach and Tom on commentary for the finals of the Super X Showcase.
MAIN EVENT | El Torito vs. Johnny Mundo vs. KENTA vs. Tyson Kidd (Super X Cup No. 1 Contendership) A high-flying fan’s dream, this one sees the stars in and out of the ring. The ending foray occurs as Johnny Mundo knocks out Kidd with a superkick, waiting in the corner of the ring as KENTA drops El Torito with the Go 2 Sleep. Mundo pushes him out of the ring from behind, hitting the Starship Pain on the fallen El Torito for a pinfall victory. After the match, Kimber Lee enters the ring and stares down Mundo. Eventually, he bails before they come to blows.
