Well Sweet Child o Mine is iconic for 2 things: the intro and the guitar solo, both written and performed by Slash. It's his song and he can do whatever the he wants with it. Giving up the best modern Hard Rock band out there in order to do a nostalgia reunion is selling out to me. Slash has also said countless times that nothing like that is planned for the near future. Or maybe he would simply be doing it because he wants to share the stage with some of his best friends again, in one of the greatest Hard Rock bands of all-time. And why exactly does he have to give up playing with Myles? Is there some reason he can't do both? Nikki Sixx is in the middle of touring with Motley, but that hasn't stopped him from working with Sixx AM, too... Even if they were to do a reunion tour any time within the next 5 years, it's not like they're going to be embarking on another UYI tour. Well that would be an option as well although I don't see that happening. I just think the more time he spends with Myles and the Conspirators the better. I'd rather have them keep pumping out amazing stuff like Apocalyptic Love and World On Fire then do an nostalgia GN'R tour. Not to mention the fact that Myles and the Conspirators are doing great when playing Guns N' Roses material.

There's just something about it that really grates on my ears. In all honesty, I think that probably about 80% of Slash's Post-GnR material is pretty average. There are some gems like Anastasia, Slither, etc., but I still haven't seen anything along the lines of a Locomotive or Coma that really has blown my socks off. I don't have a problem with him continuing with Myles, but if Slash is going to be tearing it up on Nightrain and SCOM, I'd rather it be with the crazy redhead.

If Slash reunites with Axl Rose, great, have fun. But I don't want a nostalgia run. I want an album to back the tour. If that comes from Slash, Buckethead, Izzy, Tommy Stinson or Robin Finck, I don't care. I want an album. It doesn't matter to me which lineup of GNR is on it.
Personally I would like to see everything that Axl Rose may or may not have recorded with Buckethead and Robin Finck over a reunion. But that's because I'm batcrap crazy and have no sense.
If we're looking at post 1995 material released from Slash and Axl separately, Slash has done so much more than Axl has. But what little has come from Axl since Slash left GNR is my favorite stuff that Axl's ever done.
