I've had some free time to customise and releather some Mattel and Jakks figure belts recently (most of which can be found on my instagram), and thought I'd share my latest on here...like most people I was disappointed that Mattel decided to release the new WWE belt as an all-rubber piece, so I set about to change that by doing the following! I cut out the three individual plate pieces from the original belt, thinned them slightly by using a stanley knife, painted the sides gold, and glued the pieces to a leather piece. I also added some red paint to the main plate to represent the red jewels that Mattel declined to add, as well as adding a tiny print out of the 'World Heavyweight Champion' text to the bottom of the main plate, as it could barely be seen originally. Any thoughts and opinions appreciated!
