This really bums me out. Guy is really a genius and icon in the horror genre. I'll be thinking a lot about him as I hit my horror marathons come October.
I must admit, I'm a little surprised at how much his death has effected me.

I'm lost of words. My favorite horror director. When I was a teenager I wrote to him & he wrote back. May he rest in peace...

Scream is my favorite movie ever. He is a huge inspiration to me. It sucks. I didn't even know he had brain cancer. RIP. Me too. I didn't realize he was that old either.

I read this horrible news a couple hours ago.
He was quite the horror icon so it sucks to lose him.
RIP.

I can still remember it taking me days to get through my first time watching Scream, because every new scene seemed to have something in it that scared me enough to turn it off. And now it's my favorite horror trilogy.
See you in my nightmares, Mr. Craven.

He basically did two of the best slashers of all time(NOES/Scream). Had a handful of other good films too.

Pretty gutting to hear this. Was a pretty huge influence on me. NOES, The Hills Have Eyes and of course Scream were all some of my favourite films. Also really like The Serpent And The Rainbow and well Swamp Thing...
