I like when my son is playing and yelling the names of wrestlers from the 80's and 90's. I think it's hilarious My son, 8, combines all the eras and plays with them and calls his matches. Very entertaining to me to hear his style of commentating. Very 80s sounding. He generally puts over his Legends/Classic guys.Brock, Bryan, Punk, and Reigns get some wins......but generally the modern guys are jobbing to the likes of Flair,Hogan,Warrior,Vader,Steamboat,Jake Roberts,Piper etc......Cena gets an occasional "transitional" title reign ive noticed. Lol That's awesome! My son is 5 and a half and he only has 80s and 90s elite legends to play with. I don't think he has a favorite.

I started watching wrestling during the attitude era, so I have a biased opinion in calling that the best.
Unfortunately, I have not played with my figures due to not having any space for a ring. When I was collecting Jakks before Mattel got the licence I played with my wrestlers. My favorite era when playing was late 80's to mid 90's, and 2002 to 2004.

Whether I'm playing around with figures or on one of the games I almost always go back to 1996-1999 (BCA era) or 1990.

Either modern or Hogan era just because I have the most figures for both of those eras.

I combine eras. I always thought Daniel Bryan vs late 90s HBK would be a good match, and so I did it.

Don't play with figures, when I did it was the ruthless aggression era and when I was growing up I used to love playing with the WCW figures. I was in the minority and didn't really like the WWF and their figures. Come to think of it I always hated the TTL live figures lol, I started collecting WWE figures when R3s hit the shelf.

My favorite to play is JAkks BCA and Toybiz WCW and TNA. I mix them up. I even throw Mattel basics in there. Great play. My Kevin Nash is the champ from Toybiz fighting the BCA Undertaker in awesome matches. Playing with Jakks RA kinda sucks except for the fat guys.

Mine would be 1998-2000. Still had 3 major US promotions running and producing figures ( around the same height scale )
I could have my ECW champion RVD battle it out with my WWE champ HHH. Goldberg vs Austin. Taker vs Nash. Shane Douglas got his revenge on Flair lol. The match ups were endless. Most fun I had playing with figures was that era.
Also loved 96-98 era for some reason. Bone crunching Jakks. So fun to find the new super stars series in stores ( and could pick up all 6 for $30 bucks, would suck to be a kid these days lol ). Also loved collecting the justoy bendems. They seemed to release more relevant characters first.

Haven't played with toys since the BCA figures so I guess it would be Attitude Area for me.

When I played with wrestling figures it was late New Gen into AE, but I now collect Mattels from all eras. If I had to pick New Gen is probably my favorite era overall, although pound for pound the Attitude Era was probably the most entertaining... That being said I've really fallen back in love with wrestling because of 2011 to current.
That OP was a little hard to read.

I really like the 2011 roster. You had Nexus, Corre and mid card Bryan. Also you could Miz in a main event role which is impossible now.

My favorite era is the Ruthless Aggression Era. But when I played with my figures I had my own company, a mixture of everybody.

LJNs were my fav to 'play' with as a kid but I couldn't quite cope with them not being poseable. Now just love collecting Elites.
