A DM Angle with belts and gold medals and a cloth outfit would be awesome. That would be a winner, something like this with a painted singlet underneath the cloth singlet.

I would hate a cloth singlet. Maybe a cloth track suit over a molded singlet, but not a cloth singlet.

But Jakks, Mattel's and Ralph's singlets all fit poorly on a figure. Making the figure look horrible. Toy Biz was going to release the perfect Angl with rubber removable straps, but that was cancelled. forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/278188/mattel-kurt-angle

I sort of agree, when I added that pic I had flashbacks of TTL 5 Angle and his bunchy singlet. Rubber would probably tear, crumble(Kane's chains), or get gnarly over time. One thing I'd like to see is a fabric singlet connected to the upper torso, like how Mattel did Kamala's skirt, but stretchier and the other way around. Mr. Perfect and Bret Hart could use it too.

I made a Kurt Angle figure using a Kevin Von Erich body, a Jakks Kurt Angle bald head from a deluxe figure, a cloth singlet from an early Jakks figure, Lex Lugers, knee pads, and I believe it was Sandow's elbow pads and boots. It's far and away my favorite figure because the head from that Jakks figure fits perfectly - unlike other Jakks heads that seem to be a bit large for a Mattel body. And the color matches pretty spot on. The only critique I have is maybe red boots would've worked better as Kurt Angle often wore red boots. Overall, I love the figure. Now if I can figure out how to modify that Rusev star into an American Gold Medal. Also, I have photos of this figure but, sadly, I have tried and failed in posting the pics on this site. It's true. *sigh* It's true.
*Edit* I also gave him KVE's hooded Red White & Blue jacket which is just an added bonus.

I would hate a cloth singlet. Maybe a cloth track suit over a molded singlet, but not a cloth singlet. I agree. The only singlet that I've ever found to fit okay on any make of wrestling figure is Mattels Andre and I think that's because of the bulk of the figure. Cloth has never worked on Jakks' Kurt Angles so I hope if Kurt is ever released as a Mattel the singlet is molded.
