So, based on this ^^^, what is the best way to heat up a figure for re-assembly if one has taken it all apart for a total paint job? I currently use a hair dryer for re-assembly, but even that softens the paint to a point where scrapes easily occur, paint peels and touch-ups are necessary. Is that just par for the course or is there a better strategy? Yeah for that very reason I don't disassemble-paint-seal-reassemble. It always causes scraping and frustrates me to no end. Others swear by it cos each part is well sealed. I see it unnecessary myself, but I just carefully treat joints for paint rub and then carefully paint them after the whole figure is assembled. But you would have ot be careful if you reassemble after painted. Some use those medical gloves to prevent the paint sticking to your fingers when hot, and use a tiny layer of olive oil on the pins to go in smoothly. I don't like it though.

Finally got my hands on the NXT Seth.I added elbow pads and sw apped the arms and thighs with HOF Flair, and used the Bryan kickpads. i'll prob paint the designs on the kickpads once my paint comes in. That is what I did with mine. Minus the elbow pads, because I didn't have any spares.

Has anyone done the Andre hand swap yet? I want to try to figure out how to construct a WM3 cart and have Andre waving to the crowd while everyone is throwing trash at him and Bobby. Also want to give a right hand to The Giant.

When getting the parts hot, irrespective of method, has anyone experienced paint (factory or their own), decals, or anything else coming off or dulling? Nope to the factory paint question. Anything I paint or put decals on are done after I have swapped parts. Paint and decals are always the last thing I do.

But you didn't microwave your figures. No just the cups of water. As soon as one would start getting luke warm i would take the figures out to work on and reheat the cup of water and keep rotating etc you should see Apoc's hydro bill.

Anybody here make/print their own decals? Any tips for finding logos, tattoos etc (besides google images and Pinterest)?

A few small fixes here. Attitude Era Dudleys Dremeled out some TTL heads for them. Gave Bubba the TNF basic Sting arms with basic Owens hands, to give him his sleeves. Was really wanting to use the basic Dvon torso, I like it better than the Elite torso, but it wouldn't fit on Elite legs. 1999 Big Show Paul Wight Somehow I ended up with an Elite Big Show without the singlet. So I dremeled out a TTL head for him too. Still have to remove some tattoos, but haven't had time to do it yet. Hasbro inspired early singles attire Bret Hart When I heard the Elite 43 figures were showing up at Big Lots for $10, I knew if I could find one that I wanted to get another Bret to do this look. Some simple swaps here. Gave him arms, boots, and head from another Bret figure. Used this head because the glasses fit on it. I plan on painting the heart thats on his singlet solid pink eventually. I picked up an extra DM Savage to open, so decided to use the box to do this. Now the Ultimate Maniacs are in matching DM style boxes.

ellisd Hey dude, those Dudleyz look great with those mods. I like that Big Show too. Which figure did the head come from? I thought there was no Show figure with a ponytail. I resorted to using a hair down version for mine

ellisdSimple yet effective idea with maniac macho. You use the DM wm3 box and DM warrior inner insert? If I find another DM warrior cheap & another DM macho I may be tempted to do that

The cutout of Warrior's insert and Savage's box doesn't line up great, since its different shapes, but it works for me.

Here's a couple fix ups I've been working on. Still could use a little touching up, but I'm fine with them The Andre is a basic I got in a fodder lot. Just a little shading. The Hollywood Blonds, are probably one of my top 3 favorite tag teams of all time and I wanted to have them in my collection. Both re-paints and sculpted hair on Austin Hope You like them

ellisd Thought you might appreciate this. I remember those awesome Mattel style G.I. Joe customs you did a while back. It's a Slaughter's Marauders Sarge I whipped up recently.
