Pretty much any film from Andrei Tarkovsky or Ingmar Bergman.

Well without going into detail, it was a movie about a young adult named Debbie who took a trip to Dallas...I was around 11 years old first time I saw it.

Gummo Not because Xenia Ohio is ten minutes from me, but because it made me question what people consider art or good. I got my mother to watch it once, and she actually entered a state of depression for a few days afterwords. It's an incredibly sad movie, but that's the most powerful to me. To make you fell legitimately sad over fictional characters and storylines. Especially to the degree that Requiem went to.

Swimming With Sharks.
Kevin Spacey's Buddy Ackerman was such a rich and compelling character to me as a young teen...a film with a tyrannical boss on the surface only...Frank Whaley and Michelle Forbes were brilliant as well...

Se7en really scared me as a child. Because it was so dark and gritty. Kevin Spacey, Brad Pitt, and Morgan Freeman have since been some of my favorite actors. Very powerful scenes.

I should also add the entire Bond franchise to my list because it showed me how much fun it is to make movies. I used to rent Bond movies just to watch thier making of's just to see how much fun it would be to be on a film set.
