Hey guys, im new here...well kinda new. I used to be on this board close to 10 years ago. Im feeling kinda nostalgic today so lets talk about our favorite smackdown game for ps2. Just the originals before the SvR series. This is a tough one, I don't even know which one im gonna pick.

Definitely Shut Your Mouth. As far as single player content went, you only really had season mode available to you and Shut Your Mouth's craps all over Here COmes the Pain's. As for Just Bring It...it's not that good.

I used to love running around backstage and starting fights with the random wrestlers standing around. And remember the winter times square backstage area? So f'ing cool. I might have to play that tonight!

Wow no votes for Just Bring It! I might be the only one who thought this was a good game. Sure SYM and HCTP were better, but JBI set the standard for its successors to build on. Not to mention its way better than any ps1 game they put out. What do people have against this game?

Not for the gameplay itself, but because it was my first wrestling game so I always look back on it with nostalgic fondness.

Here Comes the Pain, followed by Shut Your Mouth.
SvR06 is great too even know you are just talking about the first 3 PS2 games.

This is a tough pick because im sentimental about all three. If I have to choose only one It would be HCTP because of the legends and the story mode. But that one just barely makes 1st for me. JBI is prob the most important because it was the prototype that the other 2 built on.

I always liked SYM the best. The roster was awesome and I loved the season mode.

Here Comes The Pain for me. Shut Your Mouth was fun but it just seemed a lot slower compared to Here Comes The Pain. Everything about HCTP felt quicker, smoother, simpler and more hard hitting.

SYM for me because the roster was awesome and I loved the story mode, especially making Maven King of the Ring and Undisputed champion.

I love each game a lot, but if I had to choose one the most it had to be Just Bring It. The reason becuase I like how it looked and plays, also becuase of backstage areas, 8 people in the ring, and it had such a retro feel to it like the first two smackdown games on the PS1. Down side was when going for the gore you had to be it front of your opponent instead of running toward them, no high falling impact animation, and the boiler room did not have the same action it did in SYM. But that's my option.

Yeah that's very true and to be honest I have very great memories with that game.
