Well, I do like James Bond, but Daniel Craig wasn't James Bond to me. He just didn't fit my image of James Bond. The moves were very enjoyable, but he just wasn't Bond to me. Sean Connary was the best Bond for me. My father-in-law and brother-in-law are much bigger fans. Their first and middle names are both actually James Bond so they have always had an infatuation with the character. Well If you dont like Craig then your in luck, its rumored that Spectre will be his last movie. Im just worried who they get to replace him. Theirs alot of talk that they want to make bond black. Now I dont have anything aginst black people, but f*ck that sh*t. Bond is an Iconic character and you cant change the race of an icon. He is described in the novels as being half Scottish and half Swiss. In fact Ian Flemming commissioned an artist to draw a picture of him. According to Bonds creator this is how he looks: So if his heritage and race is laid out so perfectly in the books then why mess with it? If your gonna change him why not make him indian or chinese or a redneck that drinks Bud Light and drives a pick up truck? I'm with you. This isn't a racist thing. It's laid out that Bond is white. Making him black makes no sense what so ever to the character except to appease the politically correct crowd. this would be like casting a white man to play Shaft. Aparently it's fine to cast traditionally white characters like Johnny Storm and Deadshot with black actors but if John Stewart was cast as a white man everyone would loose there minds.

I don't like changing the race of title characters......I don't mind them mixing it up with the supporting characters or villainy but not the title guys.
Craig is getting out of Bond because he is too old for the part in his opinion.....Elba is nearly the same age as Craig......so theres very little point in this IMHO.

Yea it doesnt really bother me with the supporting cast. I think Naomie Harris is awesome as the new moneypenny. Its just kinda weird when you change up the race of the main character. I read not long ago that Yaphet Kotto, who was the first black bond villan, is against Elba being Bond. He said its just a PC move and we should strive to stick to literary correctness.

Big fan of the early Bond movies up till Goldeneye (Though I didn't think Tomorrow Never Dies was too bad, but a bit meh). Connery is definitely my favorite Bond & I'm really not a fan of Craig's Bond, too serious & not like a comic book character which is sort of how I see Bond. I must be the only one who absolutely loved J W Pepper, sure he was a stereotype, but I just found him hilarious & the perfect polar opposite for Bond.
From what I remember Flemming's choice of Bond was David Niven, whom ironically played Bond in the parody "Casino Royale" (The one released back in the 60's).
Favourite Bond movies with each Bond I've seen , excluding Lazenby as he only appeared in 1 film;
-Connery: You Only Live Twice (Goldfinger's a close second) -Moore: Live & Let Die -Dalton: The Living Daylights (Shame his contract ran out just before Goldeneye) -Brosnan: Goldeneye (Nothing else comes close) -Craig: I guess Skyfall, though I keep calling it Scaffold thanks to Jon Richardson's joke about not understanding Adele
I'd love to see what people's least favorite Bond films from each Bond are, I post mine soon.

least favourite?
Connery: Thunderball Moore: Moonraker......good god. Dalton: The Living Daylights Brosnan: Tomorrow Never Dies Craig: QOS(but I really like QOS)
Also Licence To Kill by Gladys Knight is THE best Bond song by a country mile IMHO.......LOVE that intro. If Goldeneye was renamed LTK and this was the tune? It would be my 100% favourite.

I'm with yah on Pepper. I used to get upset watching the Moore movies but I enjoy them for what they are; parodies of the Bond character. I enjoy Pepper and a lot of the comedy aspects of the Moore era. I also agree with you assessment about Craig. Dalton is my favorite Bond and I feel he did a far better job giving the character depth while playing a more serious character. Dalton gets a bad rap for reasons I'll never understand and I still enjoy both of his movies to this day. It's a shame he never got to do a third movie as Goldeneye was originally written with him in mind.

Least favorites (not including Lazenby)... Connery: Diamonds are Forever Moore: A View to a Kill (solid acting but Moore was too old) Dalton: The Living Daylights (I honestly love both of his movies) Brosnan: Die Another Day Craig: Skyfall

Connary: Diamonds are Forever Moore: A View to A Kill (but all of his movies were pretty bad) Dalton: License to Kill Brosnan: Tomorrow Never Dies Craig: QOS

Okay, here's my least favorites.
-Connery: Diamonds are Forever (way too camp, Connery looked more out of shape in this than he did in Never Say Never Again) -Moore: A View to a Kill (close call between this and Moonraker, but this just felt uncomfortable seeing as Moore was old enough to be the Bond girls dad) -Dalton: I guess Licence to Kill, but neither were too bad, this just dragged on a bit for me. -Brosnan: Die Another Day (Just felt outdated, bland, the effects were rubbish & theme was awful. Just everything was bad.) -Craig: Never liked any of his films, but I guess seeing as most people haven't liked this movie from what I've seen, I guess I'll go with this.

I might keel over from sheer joy if the rumors of Damian Lewis as the next Bond turn out to be true. Huge, huge fan of his ever since Life (never really watched Band Of Brothers but I heard he was great on that too)

Daniel Craig is my favorite Bond, just love what he has done with the role, and that his movies have all formed a narrative of sorts, showing the characters progression and arc, and it is looking like Spectre will be finishing that up nicely. Despite him being my favorite Bond I do hope Spectre is his last one, because there will not be really anywhere for his Bond to go when it's done, and it leaves him with a solid set of films without him having gotten too old to play the part. Connery, Moore and Brosnan all stayed a film too many in my opinion. Those films were bad, but so was their performances, Brosnan didn't have the energy anymore come Die Another Day, and was clearly phoning it in.
My favorite Bond films from each actor, all very easy picks for me: Connery: From Russia With Love Moore: The Spy Who Loved Me Dalton: License to Kill Brosnan: Goldeneye Craig: Casino Royale
Least Favorite From Each: Craig: Quantum of Solace Connery: Diamonds are Forever Moore: Octo**** Brosnan: Die Another Day Dalton: Living Daylights (by default, it's still awesome)
I am also a defender of Quantum of Solace. It's really not that bad, and it does hold up better on a rewatch, especially if you watch it right after Casino Royale. I think it's better than both Die Another Day and World is Not Enough easily, and I also personally prefer it to Tomorrow Never Dies, and rank it quite evenly. My main issue with Quantum is the direction, Forster was not a good choice, and he didn't know how to handle the action scenes. A common complaint I hear about Quantum of Solace is the poor villain, which, while true, doesn't bother me at all. I think the problem with that is Le Chiffre in Casino Royale was so good it put high expectations onto this film, and I'm personally quite happy the villain wasn't more memorable, as I think it would have hurt the movie. This was about Bond being angry at the world after the events of Casino Royale, and was very much a film about the development of him, hence why even his relationship with the Bond girl didn't really result in him sleeping with her and leaving, after the crushing loss of Vesper, it wouldn't have made sense for him to do that. Bond was letting his anger control him and was just ruthless, and putting things at risk, and he had to get that under control. I stand by this entry as a good one, and I seem to be the only person on the planet who does.
Anyways, Bonds from favorite to least favorite: Craig Dalton Connery Lazenby Brosnan Moore
Top 5 Favorite Bond films: Casino Royale From Russia With Love On Her Majestys Secret Service Skyfall License to Kill

Damien Lewis is 44 now man.....he would be 47(optimistically) by the time another Bond movie came out.....and 50 in a sequel. They need somebody in there 30s like Craig was when he took the role....unless everybody wants the talented Lewis just to do one and out?

I think Lewis is a little vanilla for the Bond role.
I like his work, don;t get me wrong, but he is certainly not Bond.

Moonraker is pretty terrible. It has a very very slow buildup
