Could you imagine Cena announces the U.S. Title open, there is silence as the crowd waits for anyone's music to hit. Finn Balors music hits and he comes up in the smoke with full on USA demon paint??

The man who should beat John Cena for the US Title should be (and probably will be) is the Big Show.
Show will lose to Lesnar and they will have to build him back up. So he can challenge Cena for the US Title at Hell in a Cell PPV. He can lose to Cena there, thus now working a program with him for the next few months, only to see Show win the US Title off of Cena at TLC in December. That frees up Cena to win the Royal Rumble and challenge the WWE Champion at Wrestlemania 32 to win number 16 for World Titles!

Having Cena put someone like Slater over would really give a great payoff to the Whole Concept of the US Open Challenge. At this point in his career Cena doesn't need a belt, but it would do wonders for someone like Slater, if he actually defended the thing week in and week out. Great idea. And as well to make the ratings better maybe have the belt change hands on raw every once in a while? |

That way he would have experience as a mid card champion he puts on a few more classics which eventually leads to him winning the WWE Title at WM 32! And we all celebrate like a big happy family!! After reading through this thread, I've gotta say, I like the idea of Roman Reigns vs John Cena. That would be a great fued in my opinion, and I'd love to see it.
I'm not sure whether or not if like to see Slater win the strap. I have to say, right now I would not. But who knows, if WWE could pull it off it might work.
After saying all of that, I like Cena as US champion. Right now I'd like to see him carry it longer, and really build the belt up. That would be awesome IMO.
If I had to pick a wrestler to beat Cena for the belt one day in the future, it would be Big E. He's on fire IMO.
