Nothing annoys me more than straight re-releases. Part of collecting is having stuff that isn't available anymore. It's what sets people's collections apart. If true that's 2 DMs I won't be purchasing. I know a lot of people are the same. Hopefully these bad decisions don't ruin the sales of this line and kill it off again.

Hope this is just BS.. I could see sdcc taker as a replacement since there was still lots of people who didn't have it. But a straight up rerelease of the same figure from the same line is just dumb. Besides I already have 3.

While I dont think this is true, if it is then it should have been DM savage or bret instead.

I can't help but feel a lot of people against it are afraid it'll affect the resale value of their originals...

Come on. There are so many rare figs they could use to replace him and we get warrior? Weak!

Awesome. We're getting re-releases of clearance figures. I know he gets a premium now, but still, at one time Kmart and Target could not sell him at regular price. I like the figure, but there's really not much happening with it. You get a vinyl cut out with a design on it.

I can't help but feel a lot of people against it are afraid it'll affect the resale value of their originals... I think the feeling against re releases is more to do with wanting something new rather than wanting to sell the originals. As said in the UK thread, if this is true, it's a disaster. I'd actually take any other DM as a re-release than this as I don't really rate the figure. It's at the back of my collection. This is not to say that I have anything against a DM Ultimate Warrior. Hell re release one of his basics as an elite DM and they can have my money.

defining moments tried once and failed..this 2nd time around seems to be going the same path..my local k-mart could not give those warriors away at $6.50...if true it is an awful move on mattels part.

Oh no I agree, if I desperately wanted that Warrior I'd have tracked it down by now, everyone wants to see something new, but there are definitely some people who already own the figure who seem to be annoyed by it I mean I'm not an insider and I don't know how long things take, but surely a company as big as Mattel can do better than a straight re-issue

Repaints are acceptable IMO. Straight re release is just pure laziness

It'd be cool if they re-released the WM6 version of Warrior with his paint smeared, hair flattened, and both titles raised up.

I doubt this is true. But if it is why? Give us a repaint at the very least. Or post match wm 6 warrior that would be sweet.

If it comes with the screaming head, I'll buy it.
But for reals, what's the point of collecting when everything is going to get rerelease again?
Great for people that missed out but since I have it, we lose a spot for someone else.

The Entrance Greats Shawn Michaels, I wouldn't mind if they made that an elite version and put it in a Defining Moments case. The figure and the assessories would be awesome.
