Yes it is. Kids aren't buying the DM line, they were heavily discounted here in the uk, and now smyths isn't stocking the Undertaker, so the biggest stockist of WWE product in the uk isn't carrying the line. It sucks, re-releases suck big time and should definitely not continue. If collectors want a figure that's been out already go to eBay. If you wanted it that badly you'd have bought it the first time around You guys already have to pay an arm, a leg, and sacrifice your first born just to buy a figure. If enough is enough, do what warrior would do... Boycott WWE!

I hate the re-releases Stop taking valuable spots If you missed out, go hunt down the figure you want so badly They and making ways of re-releasing without putting it in the original elite line. Still the DM line has been milked with two reissue (one is technically a belt pack). One more re-issue could stop collectors from caring about DM.

I disagree with the first bolded statement. They are somewhat culpable, but not "totally." The guy was under contract, and they had a plan to release him. You can't foresee these things. Should they learn from this and go ahead and pump out Stings and HBKs? I think so. But I'm more inclined to forgive them on Hogan. The second bolded part is completely unfair. With persistence we all seem to get what we ask for. Camo Sarge, red LOD, the list goes on and on. So long as it is possible Bill puts it out. If anything, give him credit for finding creative ways to get us legends figures. Someone over there has gone above and beyond to rectify the legends series debacle. They deserve tremendous credit for that. And that was based in large part to listening to our complaints. We agree on the third bolded point. They are learning from mistakes. What more can we ask? Don't get ME started on Boss Man in the hall. Im guessing my first statement has you a little confused. I was referencing Undertaker in Defining Moments. It is my understanding or at least from what Bill said, the reason he was put in the line was because Mattel thought someone was going to be under contract, and it didn't pan out. I assume it was Owen. They put time, effort and money into development a figure they never had the rights for... For this reason, I believe Mattel is totally to blame.
I also think it was handled poorly by MDT...
You are probably right, on the second statement. Mattel has listened and changed some of the things we (the board) suggested.
Ah I see. That makes sense. They may be to blame if they spent time/effort/resources on a figure that they had yet to secure, but we don't really know the circumstances. Maybe Bill was told to "get to work on it!" by a trusted someone. Remember, they gave him the heads up on Sting before that was officially announced. I'm not so quick to squarely place the blame on MDT. Deals that look like sure things fail to materialize all the time. That's business. Sometimes you gotta take a chance. Worst case scenario? He could just rerelease an old popular figure and make more money on previous work.

To answer the question in the thread title; Yes. It's very unfortunate but true.

I was a bit disappointed by the Taker figure because I passed on it the first time as it's not my favorite attire but I'm glad we are getting another elite Austin.

Enlighten us... This should be interesting hehe. Id love to enlighten you, but i know how it will end up. Please brother, I insist. A comment, such as your, needs defending. Otherwise, the credibility of your statements will be lost. Tell us how a business is ran properly. I have a business degree in accounting and I am a part-time owner of a small restaurant that has been in my family for 30 years. Even with my credentials, any business information you have could prove to be enlightening.

Not hurting the line at all. They know there will always be someone new to the WWE line that will want them so they will sell. Personally I have two of both already from Matty and RSC so I will pass on Taker, but probably pick up another Austin. The only people it will bother are those who purchased the figures on the secondary market for a greater price or those who wanted to sell theirs on the secondary market for a greater price. Even though i have everything I have wanted from the past sets I have no issues with Mattel rereleasing sought after figures again. But no it isn't killing the line.

I'm most annoyed with the release of the non smiling scan again. And the continued use of the weak first non smiling macho head.

I'm not of the belief that it "robs" collectors who have a figure already. So what if they get mad they paid $300 for something only for it to be released again. Shi+ happens

I'm actually pretty hyped up about the next Stone Cold DM. I never bought the L1 version, so I'm happy to buy this one, plus he comes with 3 vac world belts. I might buy 3 just for the belts.

Hard to say, because I missed a lot of the DM figs and I am really happy they are re-releasing some of them.

New DM with old head? Eh. The belts are cool, but I'm still gonna want the RSE figure. Maybe I can get one cheaper since the belts were what drove most of the cost.

the price point has been the only thing swaying me away from most of them.
