I thought this would be a good thread. What are some of your pet peeves in your favorite movies? For instance in Jaws, the montage of people coming off the ferry's onto Amity Island, has a shot of a police officer directing traffic. What irks me is the hat the police officer is wearing, The hat doesn't look right on his head since he is wearing a fro. The hat looks like a clown hat sitting on top of his head. No police dept in their right mind would allow someone with a non regulation haircut.
In Batman Begins, Batman throws something off his utility belt to a kid, Batman never stated to the kid what the thing was.

In Predator you can clearly see that Billy is missing the shotgun attachment for his M-16 during the scene when they are moving cautiously through the jungle after the village battle.

Not a movie but on 24, I hate hearing the term "on U.S. soil". I understand why they use it but I still get sick of hearing it.

In both Keaton Batman films, the only thing you ever see him eat is F***ING SOUP!.
Also there is a continuity error in The Dark Knight regarding Heath Ledger's hair length. The scene where he crashed the mob meeting and the scenes at the end, his hair is shoulder length. Yet in the interrogation scene, his hair is noticeably shorter.
And though not a movie, it always bugged me as to how Scott Hall detonated Austin's right knee with a cinder block, yet at Mania he had a heavily taped left knee.

Daniel cheating to defeat Johnny at the end of Karate Kid. Rules specially stated that you can't not kick them in the face. Points were deducted from others, Daniel wins with it.

Excellent topic.
1. There is a scene in Twister where Bill and Jo are driving away from the tornado in Bill's Dodge Ram truck and it strikes a large piece of farm equipment which shatters the front window. In the next scene, the front window is fixed.
2. In the theatrical release of Happy Gilmore, there is literally no conclusion to Ben Stiller's character. Happy wins the tournament and that's the end. I guess for the tv version, there is an added scene where Happy actually gets revenge on Stiller's character at the nursing home.

In Home Alone, the phone is dead in the beginning of the movie due to the ice storm. How does he order a pizza & get it delivered then?
In Star Wars, they are trapped in the trash compactor dressed as Stormtroopers. When they get out, they are wearing their old clothes. They obviously can't wear their old clothes under the armor.

Planet of the Apes: The scene where Charlton Heaton sees his friend had his head operates on, and this starts a chase scene through the city. During this scene, random apes are throwing rocks at him, however there is one ape I see everytime I watch the movie that just throws her rocks at the grouo with this "What movie is this that I signed up for as an extra?". She pulls me out of the movie every time.
Star Wars Return of the Jedi: the scene where they escape Jabba's sail barge. Luke gets his hand shot. From the scene, is his arm just up in the air? It made zero sence to me.
Dark Knight Returns: Why did they send every available officer underground? It made absolutely no sence. Why would you leave your city under the watch of maybe 5 cops?

You could write a novel about things that are wrong with that movie. Don't get me wrong, Bane was awesome, and I loved the ending. But they could have come up with a better plot point then 98% of cops went underground for a raid and the got trapped...Why not have Bane go on a murder spree with Scarecrow? We could have been inteoduced to Killer Croc or Man-Bat for cop killing sprees. Would it be too mich? Sure. But when don't movies cross that boundary?

Here's another one, in the original Evil Dead, the shotgun is a Single shot single Barrel NEF Pardner Shotgun, in Evil Dead 2 it somehow changes to a double barrel side by side shotgun.
In The NeverEnding Story, why doesn't Bastian's Dad, notice his son is missing and call the authorities. And When does a school have an attic?
The M1911 used in Titanic wasn't even available to the general public in 1912, it was still a military issued sidearm. Plus the M1911 used in the movie wasn't from 1912, it was an M1911A1 which didn't come out until 1927.
In Rocky V why wasn't Rocky arrested alongside Tommy Gunn for the Street fight? Tommy Gunn got arrested but somehow Rocky had not.
How did Mrs. Doubtfire get paid?

The Simpsons movie
Everything is Homer's fault and what Bart says about him is true. Flanders finally gave Bart a good male rolemodel figure, wish their relationship was expanded..ah well.
Still, love that movie!

Here's another one, In Twilight the Forks Washington police car looks nothing like the actual police car from Forks Washington. In Days of Thunder Tim Daland said he paid $2,500 to rent out Daytona International Speedway to see how good Cole Trickle would be in a stock car. In reality renting out Daytona International Speedway would cost 10's of thousands or more. In The Quick and the Dead, the prices of some of the revolvers that are featured in the gun shop scene are way overpriced for the period the movie is set in 1878. One Colt Single Action Army is priced $110, in reality it would be around $20.

In Batman Begins, Batman throws something off his utility belt to a kid, Batman never stated to the kid what the thing was. It's the same device that he uses seconds previously to look into the apartment in the Narrows that the "other half" of the drugs are being taken to. So basically an X-Ray Vision scope, if you will? In Home Alone, the phone is dead in the beginning of the movie due to the ice storm. How does he order a pizza & get it delivered then? www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/home-alone-plot-hole-has-logical-explanation_560be46de4b0dd850309e9bcFairly logical explanation, really. Always wondered myself. As for mine, it's regarding The Dark Knight and some dialogue from Gordon at the end of the movie regarding the amount of people that Harvey Dent had killed. Specifially 5 people dead, two of them cops. However, you only see Harvey kill Wartz, doesn't kill Ramirez, and only kills potentially three people in regards to Maroni. So there's a missing person that is never discussed. I actually got a chance to pose this question directly to Nolan via The Dark Knight Director Exclusive Watch and Chat from when the movie first came out on Blu Ray. His response was along the lines of "I'll explain this all one day, just not today..." The movie was based, somewhat, off of Blade Runner. Which is important in mentioning because there's a similar mis-calculation of people in dialogue during that movie as well which led people to think Nolan did that on purpose. I'd love to clear it up.

In Cast Away they never really explain what was in the package that Chuck Noland never opened on the island. FedEx spoofed what could have been in the package in a SuperBowl commercial The beating the three kidnappers took in gorilla cage scene in Baby's Day Out would have resulted in deaths or broken bones. Joe Mantenga would have easily have died from being thrown across the room by a gorilla. Cars has one of my Biggest pet peeves out of them all. Who created the world of Cars? I mean seriously, are the cars created in a factory, how are newer cars created? It makes you think what is the origin of their world. There is even a Pope car, yeah that makes no sense either

Also in Home Alone, when Kate McAllister asks the ticket agent what airport she is at, he replies Scranton. The Airport that portrays Scranton in the movie is not the Real, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Internatioal Airport. The actual Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport at that time was a very tiny airport where the boarding area, was right next to the airport security checkpoint. That was not seen in the movie at all. On top of that American Airlines did not fly out of that airport when that movie was made

In Empire Strikes Back Han is wearing metal cuffs around his upper arms when he is frozen. In Return of the Jedi they are missing when he is unfrozen.
