Maybe best of flashbacks is what a lot of people would be looking forward to.

As long as it's not a store exclusive. It makes collecting an absolute nightmare for anyone outside of the US.

This gets a firm no from me. We get enough re-releases. If I miss a figure I'd rather just pay the extra on the secondary market than lose a spot that should be for a new elite/flashback or a completely different version of someone previously released. And if I can't afford the secondary price, I can go back to it in future when I have more money. A wasted spot is wasted forever. But, it wouldn't be like that. It would be its own set with maybe 4-6 figures in each set and it could be like..2 sets a year? It wouldn't be getting in the way of new flashbacks in the main Elite lines, it would be its own thing. Sort of like the Toys R Us spotlight thing they got going on right now. Even if it's a brand new line only once or twice a year, it still takes money away from Mattel's budget that could be used for new figures. Mattel won't have the license forever, they don't have unlimited budget, and superstars will disappear, and legends contracts will expire. I'd rather Mattel spend their time and budget making as many new figures and new versions as possible. You're welcome to your opinion and ideas, but personally I'm more interested in the longterm goal of building as vast and varied of a figure collection as possible. If I miss a figure and have to resort to the secondary market, oh well, I can always earn more money or wait for a deal to come along. It doesn't matter how much money I have there will always be a limit to how many different figures are available. Only way I could get behind this kind of idea would be if all the figures (and the Flashbacks in particular) had brand new headscans. But I can't see that happening sadly.

No. If there were alternate color attires and different accessories with the figures then possibly.
