I was just looking at my collection and I've realized how woefully under-represented factions are from bygone eras. The only complete (non-modern) faction we have as far as I know is the Four Horsemen. It also looks like we'll finally have a complete Evolution now that an older Ric Flair is on the way, but they're all basics. All the Evolution-era figures are basics, and Triple H and Batista are from their WM22 match, so technically Evolution was broken up by that point. We also have all three members of Demolition.
DX is also pretty damn complete, save for Chyna, but we're never going to get a Chyna figure now that she's done porn. You could also argue that we have no DX Rick Rude, not that I'm that heartbroken that they didn't make a Rude in a suit (and I'm not paying secondary market prices for a head to make one).
Even the nWo is woefully underrepresented. We finally got a Scott Hall, but Hollywood is canceled. We have Kevin Nash and are getting another one. We have Macho Man and Giant. You could also easily put Mr. Perfect in there as Curt Hennig since the only difference in attire is boot design. But no Hollywood, no Bischoff, no Buff, no Syxx, no Steiner, no Konnan, no Brian Adams, no Scott Norton, etc. Honestly, I only care about getting Syxx, Steiner, Buff, and Konnan anyway.
There are no nWo Wolfpac figures currently. When Kevin Nash comes out, he'll be the only one.
As far as the Nation goes, the only figure we currently have is RSC Rock. That was a pretty important faction at the time and the ultimate rivals of DX, but we only have Rock. Farooq is finally seeing a release, but that was pre-DX feud. Still, I'm very glad we're getting NOD Farooq. But still no Mark Henry despite him being with the company the entire time Mattel's had the license. We're getting Godfather, but it's definitely his post-NOD gimmick. Even though he was the Godfather towards the latter part of the Nation, he wore black. Regardless, we have no Nation-era Godfather or Kama. We also have no D'Lo Brown.
Probably the biggest faction of the entire Attitude Era, the Corporation, has a whopping 1 member! That's The Rock and we only have Corporate Rock in basic form. You could also argue we have corporate Mankind. But no Shamrock, no SWAT gear Bossman, no 1998 Vince McMahon, no Stooges.
Hart Foundation has 3 members: Bret, Bulldog, and Pillman. We'll probably never get Owen, but hopefully we'll get Anvil soon. At least we'll have 4 members.
Ministry of Darkness has Undertaker and Paul Bearer (outside of US). We have APA now, but no Acolytes, not even a Battlepack. No Mideon, no Viscera, and not a single member of the Brood in Brood attire.
I'm noticing that most of these are from the Attitude Era. 97-2000 was very faction-heavy and Bischoff era WCW and Attitude Era WWF as a whole are very under-represented in terms of figures. We need more of these!
