Now that Ringsidefest is over and the line ups for Elite 40 and HOF 3 have been confirmed, I decided to put together a small list of all Flashback "First Time in the Line" Elite style figures we have received or are still be released before 2016 arrives.
2014 had an awesome line up of guys from the past who got their first flashback figure treatment. We got names like Lex Luger, Riksihi, Rick Flair, RVD, NOA, JYD, Xpac, Hulk Hogan "yes he was on my shelf before xmas" amongst others.
Again this list is only Flashback "first time in the line" wrestlers, so current superstars Sami z and A rose dare not included. Also this list is with the expectation that HOF 3 will be available before xmas. I also decided to not include Godfather, as its Charles Wright who was already released as Papa Shango. Million Dollar Man is included as this his first time in the line as an Elite style figure.

15- Jimmy Hart HOF 3
There they are 15 new names for the Flashback figure collectors to add to our display. The most surprising name on the list for me is Umaga, as all the rest were excepted sooner or later, but when Umaga was announced I was pleasantly surprised. Add to that new elite versions of Hogan, Mr. Perfect, Rick Rude, Bulldog, Andre, Taker, Kane, HBK, Eddie, Yokozuna and i am sure I missing a few. 2015 has been the best year for Flashback figure collectors thx to DM and HOF lines being added.
What are your thoughts looking back on the new names for 2015? how do they compare to 2014? and how in the world can MDT top this in 2016?

I guess I chose a great time to come back into collecting. Umaga was definitely a shocker especially since there's not a lot of Ruthless Aggression guys compared to the Hulkamania, New Generation, and Attitude flashbacks.
A lot of them I expected at some point or another like Heenan, Studd, Razor, etc. but Doink, Godfather, and especially Sid blew my mind.

I think Godfather and Scott Hall should added to the list honestly even if it is the same person portraying a different character.

2015 was probably the best year so far, but with Dusty and Roddy dead and hands off for now, Honky Hogan gone indefinitely, and Snuka bound for death/jail, the future seems quite uncertain. I guess the focus will have to go towards New Gen, WCW, and Attitude Era for Flashbacks? It'd be welcome, but sort of hollow to make Hulkamania era characters without the ability to make the guy who was the catalyst for it all, same for nWo figures. It's like if Hasbro all of a sudden couldn't make any Wolverine figures for their Marvel lines.
I hope we see more Bret, Shawn, Macho, Outsiders, Luger, Flair, and Surfer Sting figures, mid 90s specifically. I hereby wish for more tag team flashbacks, like the Steiner Brothers, Harlem Heat, Public Enemy, LOD, Rougeaus, Hart Foudation, Rockers, Natural Disasters, Demolition, Smoking Gunns, Brothers of Destruction, Dudleys, E&C, Hardyz, Al Snow and Steve Blackman, 123 Kid and Bob Holly, Killer Bees, and British Bulldogs.

Its been a great year for flashbacks with so many awesome ones to come. I hope one day we get some ecw or awa flashbacks to go along with what we have already. I like the idea of more basic flashbacks as well. Especially since were getting them in every series now.

Flashbacks have been great... but for the most part executed well even Sid now that I see him in some pictures does not look as bad as everyone was reacting... and I was getting him regardless IRS Godfather long haired Rick Rude I mean they're just knocking them out of the park British bulldog I could go on and on

So far there are only 5 confirmed flashbacks figures for 2016 Austin DM, Sting DM, NOD Farooq, NOD Rock and RSC Nash
none are new, but most are nice additions.
in 2016 I would like to see the below first timers in the line, keeping in mind that Lita and The Dudley Boys are a lock to be released

Powers of Pain & both are big Single wrestlers too. at least 2 versions of British bulldogs (wm2 & british trunks). Surfer Stings, Demolition basics, Sid justice, etc, etc! |
