This actually looks really fun. Having the choice of different Jason skins as well as being able to be counselors looks fun. Even more so, they have Sean Cunningham and Kane Hodder working with them on it.
Here is the announcement trailer with some graphics:

So basically hide and go seek... Kinda sounds like Evolve with a Friday the 13th twist.

Pretty cool looking. Don't know if the company has made any other games, but if this is funded enough, it could be a fun game. They just need to do it right.

After playing quite a bit of the Slasher mode in GTA V Online, I'm very excited about the potential of a full scale Friday game.

All I can think of is how much I wanted the NES game when it came out and how awesome I thought it would be, and how wrong I was. Christ that game was hard.

I thought, as I clicked this from the board blindly, it was going to be a post in the retro forum (initially)..... oy, that game was worse than Star Wars from back then.

That game is one of the worst NES Games I can think of a lot of really hard, really bad NES games. Star Wars for NES was horrible if I am thinking of the right Star Wars game (a lot sucked, but that one... was too hard).

Speaking of calling really hard games bad, People tend to bash The Adventures of Batman & Robin for the Sega Genesis. That game is super difficult, but it doesn't deserve being called bad compared to the SNES version which people put on a pedestal. The Genesis version had amazing graphics for Genesis game, one of the most impressive soundtracks for any Sega Genesis game. Jesper Kyd's soundtrack is like no other Genesis Soundtrack. Sure it's a hard game but it's far from the worst Genesis game.

Simon's Quest is considered a bad Castlevania game and is my favorite. Lots of people cite its horrible villager side-tracking, etc.... but the translated version of the game actullay lends help from the Villagers and gives the story and game some sensibility where it is lacking. It is a better version/port ...than NA regions got. I still love it. But yeah, the JP version is a lot better. (I think it was Famicom and not the Pal... correct me if I am wrong...?) It is now translated and that version was really a lot better than the one NA regions got to know (and most seemed to hate) re: Simon's Quest, or put it way down on the list of Castlevania titles... and there are a lot, but it deserves more praise than it gets for similar reasons to what you stated- even if it is hard, regardless, and harder with the copy we got)

Didn't care for the RPG-like aspects of it, as I had Legend of Zelda for that kinda stuff. I preferred the more platformer approach for my Dracula hunting.
