Tell me about it. Let's see what happens if they make a second season or not. The options themselves were upsetting but it was a truly amazing game. Loved every bit of it and i'd love for there to be a 2nd Seasons. A second season would be really hard to accomplish given the ending choices here. It's one extreme or another, and they'd have to make two drastically different games just for a second season.

It's a point and click visual story game, like Telltale does with Walking Dead/Game of Thrones. It's about a girl named Max at a prep school who discovers she can rewind time via the Butterfly Effect. You can choose who you save and let die other than game ending situations, can trick people into doing things/giving information then rewind time and remember what was told but they have no clue. It's got a very, very, VERY dark undertone to the story though. It's a brooding story through episode three while you are sleuthing, then episode 4-5 are like "beat you in the ing face with the heart wrench and feels stick." Great game. Worth the $20 it costs. It's also fun going around and finding the 50 optional photographs you can take throughout the game...some of them and how to get to them...cool. Sounds cool. Reminds me kind of Code Lyoko. I was literally thinking about that show today for some odd reason

It's possible. It might take them a while to do it. Like Walking Dead season 2 has like 4 drastic different endings and they gotta make that work somehow for season 3.

I just finished this last week and didn't want to make a new thread. I didn't even know it existed but saw on ad for it on Facebook and was like "what is this?!" I love games like Heavy Rain and Until Dawn, so this was right up my alley. I let Chloe die. For one, after going back and replaying the other option, it was the better, more developed, ending, but it also seems like it made the most sense in terms of the time travel. The reason the tornado was coming is because the universe was trying to correct the timeline, meaning Chloe was supposed to die. Max could have logically altered time without drastically changing time. Meaning, if she's going to control who lives and dies, there is going to be a cost. If she's going to dump paint on Victoria, but ultimately not impact time, then she's fine.
I thought the game was fantastic. I have to admit, I immediately became suspicious of Mr. Jefferson once he was presented as an option in the principals office. So that kind of gave some of the ending away for me when I picked up on that clue and assumed David was the red herring. The alternate timeline where Chloe's dad lived, and going back to save him, was absolutely incredible imo. I loved that view on the alternate reality, which is what we saw in the Butterfly Effect film as well, that cost of trying to disrupt destiny.
I think the Chloe dying choice would be cannon if they did a sequel. I haven't listened to the commentary yet but the game gave me every indication that Chloe was supposed to die. The reason we spent the entire game investing in Chloe was so that your decision would be emotionally charged when we had to choose the lives of many over the life of the one we cared most about. I think the sh*tty part is that the game presents an all or nothing scenario. My assumption, as someone who grew up around tornados for the first 22ish years of his life, is that even if the town was destroyed, plenty of people would live through it. The game kind of presents it as, if Chloe lives then the entire town dies, which really is a bit ridiculous.
Anyway, I'd be totally onboard for another game. I think you could easily create another story where Max needs to use her powers again. This time around, she'll have far more respect for her gift, which could be extremely interesting. I collected all the photos already, so I'm not sure how much replay value this has for me but I really did enjoy the hell out of it.

Dammit why do I seem to continuously be the only one, anywhere I go to talk about this game, to choose the other option with no hesitation?

I really considered picking it, since I grew really attached to Chloe throughout the game, but ultimately one life felt better than the entire town.

Yeah I guess I can see the logic behind it.

I picked option B, but ended up replaying and doing the first one. I wanted the one so bad, but it just didn't feel right.
I think if theres a second season, you'd maybe play as a new character and at most a cameo from characters in the first game

Ya could have just YouTubed what happened with A, I've replayed a couple of times and saved you know who each time. Can't let the person die. You've seen my FB cover, too important. XD

The most difficult choice I've made in gaming for ages, if not ever. I also have my own theory/way I consider the story that makes me like that ending more. Probably not a truthful theory but a way I look at it.

Chloe was awesome and there was no way I was letting her die after everything. Screw Arcadia Bay. Also, I had to make sure that Jefferson was dead.
