I was just thinking about this, because this feud with the Dudleyz is going nowhere fast.
It seems like New Day has caught fire and can really do no wrong at the moment, but I feel like they are leading them to drop the titles this Sunday.
Assuming that is what will happen, and assuming they will then lose their rematch to the Dudleyz too, where do they go from there?
I wouldn't be completely surprised to see them beat the Dudleyz and put them away, but I just don't see it happening.
I'm just kind of worried that they will just have them drop the titles and ruin them creatively, look what happened to the Prime Time Players after they waited so long for their title reign...
Any good ideas where they can go from dropping the titles to the Dudleyz and still stay relevant and keep rising?
The only thing I can think of is they might fall into bed with the authority (as they are a shell of themselves and have no real stable atm)
Also I could see them breaking up, which I could see helping them in singles, but would be a huge mistake IMO... What do you guys think?

I they lose them to the Dudleys, they'll get them back within the next month or two, at most.

Ideally I think they should drop them to the Dudleyz, Dudleyz hold onto them until Mania 32, New Day wins them back at Mania in a TLC match with one or two other teams.
Knowing WWE, they lose to Dudleyz, they lose again, go back to doing nothing, and then separate.

The WWE Championship of course. Big E deserves it.

They will lose the belts to the Dudleys, lose them again in the rematch, start to unravel a bit, Big E. and Xavier will turn on Kofi, and then Kofi will come out to "S.O.S." again and be a face and win the IC Title.
Xavier and Big E. will tag for a bit as heels, eventually breaking up, and have a big PPV match where Big E. beats Xavier. Big E. will go on to fight against the Authority.
Xavier will be sent wrestling on Superstars and Main Event with the likes of R-Truth, Bo Dallas and Heath Slater.
It sounds like crap, but sadly it also seems very plausible that it could happen too.

Nothing really. New Day don't really need the tag titles. In fact I think even if they dropped the belts, they'd probably get more TV time than the new champions.

They either need need to use Xavier Woods more and put a singles title on him out have New Day drop the tag titles and win them back and implement the Freebird Rule.

They either need need to use Xavier Woods more and put a singles title on him out have New Day drop the tag titles and win them back and implement the Freebird Rule. New Day are ALREADY using the Freebird Rule. All three of them are listed as tag team champions on WWE.com's roster page, and Xavier even comes out wearing one of the belts sometimes even though Kofi and Big E do all the wrestling. If any of them win a singles title: Kofi and Big E are both better suited to compete for a singles belt than Xavier. The reason why they don't use Xavier as much is because he's the weakest of the three both in kayfabe accomplishments and real life in-ring skills. He has the least credibility, which is why he's more suited to being a goofy mouthpiece on the outside.

I think they will retain. I HOPE they retain. Feuds are always more exciting when good guys always topple the bad guys but the bad guys still get away with the belts.

I'm tired of The New Day. I wouldn't mind if they were broken up.

If WWE breaks up The New Day, they'll think the Daniel Bryan backlash was a bright summer's day compared to what they'd get from passionate crowds if they split New Day up with nothing to do. They're coming up on 12 months as a regular on screen team, and WWE usually splits teams up for no reason around 13 months in. Hopefully they'll learn to stop doing that.

Taking the titles off New Day right now is the WORST thing they could do.
For arguments sake, who do the Dudleyz work if they win?
There are no credible heel teams outside of New Day.

WWE likes splitting tag teams up for no good reason. We've had Cryme Tyme, Hart Dynasty, PTP, Shield, Miz and Mandow, Wyatt Family and Miz/Morrison to name a few split up in the past few years.I believe the only tag team WWE won't split up is the Uso's and soon they may even try that (actually that sounds pretty cool an evil twin storyline). The only tag team that has done well by splitting up is the Shield. Most likely Kofi will go back to his mid card role, Big E will be forgotten about and be on WWE main event before getting released in 2017 (the guy has awful promo skills, really goofy and no confidence) and Xavier may get thrown in another tag team again(he seems too small in height to be a main event star).

I could absolutely see Big E taking out Kofi and Xavier standing over Kofi saying "S.O.S" to the tune of the "New Day Rocks" chant.

I was a fan of his work in TNA but he isn't going to get better if he's never -- or rarely -- used.

I think they'll lose to the Dudley's on Sunday. But they will still be a focal point of the show. Then they will be on opposing teams against the Dudley's at Survivor Series. Linger in the upper mid-card for awhile. Then New Day will regain the tag titles at WM in a TLC match.
