I think there was a thread about this a long long time ago. I don't specifically remember, because my dad would just buy them for me since I loved WWE. But I'm pretty sure it was an old Jakks Stone Cold. I remember it being this one:

GREAT topic. I don't think I have EVER started a line with ONE figure though....all of mine will be from the very starts of the line.
Hasbro WWF series 1: Hogan, Macho, Ax, Jake, Warrior & Rude. My Aunt brought them from America for me in the summer of 1990.
WWF BCA: Bret, HBK, UT, Diesel & Razor in the summer of 96 when they first landed here. It was weird because Hall & Nash were already in WCW but I still bought them....LOL.
WWF TTL: I'm genuinely foggy over this one.....Ministry UT was one and I think Road Dogg was the other.
WWF/E Finishing Moves: Benoit vs Jericho 2 pack.
WWF/E R3 tech: had a HUGE splurge here.....HUGE. Hogan,Hall and Nash in their jeans and nWo shirts in one store....then hall vs Austin,Hogan vs Rock & Nash vs kane in another shop....then Austin,UT and Rocky in their ring gear in another.
WWF/E RA Style: was CS3 Bret, Warrior & Dibiase.
WWF/E Deluxe Agression: Angle & Orton from series 1.
WWE Mattel Basic: Austin & the first Hart Dynasty 2 pack.
WWE Mattel Elite: CM Punk, Road Warriors, Austin, Steamboat from Elite/legends 1.
good stuff!!!

This is great...
Hasbro Andre the Giant in 1990 was the first figure I got. Followed by Macho Man with the star trunks and Big Boss Man.
When Elite 29 Andre came out that was the first fig I purchased in 17 years because it brought back memories of my original Andre.
Have been hooked on picking up Legends and specific current roster Mattel figs ever since!

E21 honky tonk man was the first wrestling toy I've ever owned and I was 35. But I've loved wrestling since I was about 8 years old.

My first WWE figure in general that actually belonged to me and not my brother was a Classic Superstars Bret Hart as seen below. And my first Mattel fig was a fig I didn't even know was a mattel figure until a couple months ago. Entrance Greats Rey Mysterio. This was released pretty early into the WWE Mattel line if I recall correctly. I wasn't into collecting at the time and just thought that Jakks changed the way they make their figures. I still have the figure itself, but the accessories are lost and they only thing I have is the cap. It wasn't until this year that my love for WWE rekindled and I wanted something to collect that shows how much I love the product, what better way than action figures am I right? First WWE figure in over 4 years was the Defining Moments Hulk Hogan.

My first action figure that I can recall was 'Towering Terror Hook' from the Mattel 'Hook' toy line. I still have it.
My first wrasslin' figure was a LJN Brutus the Barber Beefcake figure that I got from a yard sale.
My first Jakks was a Signature Series BCA style Mankind in his Brown attire that, for presumably cheap reasons, didn't feature bone-crunching action.
My first Mattel was Elite 3 John Cena. My first basic was series 4 William Regal. I said no to basics prior to seeing him. Regal is the man. Now I've got over 300 basics.

Between my older brother and cousins, my first figures were hand me downs. I have a picture of me playing with awa remcos and their ring while still in a walker.
My first hasbros were bought on my 5th birthday. I went to tru to replace my broken ljn ring, and was devastated to see that wwe figures were now tiny and made by a different company. Since they did not have hogan, I bought Mdm and jake, because they were the only figures with accessories.
My first ra's were series 8(?) Shelton Benjamin and green Rey.
My first mattels were all of legends series 2 besides snuka, who I wouldn't buy based on his gear selection. My buddy had shown me kamala and I was blown away. I went from just hulkamania era ledgends, to all flashbacks, to everyone now. The only elite characters I am missing are mr McMahon and luke gallows
