Much like the booking, it's 50/50 right now whether it'll be a good show with worthwile matches.

I'm not going to the event, though I did some research on ticketmaster.com. All tickets are sold out on the mid and upper sections. The lowest ticket price is around $150 and that's behind the stage. So I'm pretty sure Wrestlemania should be sold out come time for the event. They're manipulating the release of tickets to dishonestly inflate demand. They kind of showed their hand when the event went on sale and absolutely nothing was available. It took them a little while to get it sorted out. I'd be willing to bet they're doing controlled releases and still holding on to 30-40% of the venue, possibly more. We also don't know whether or not they're currently utilizing AT&T Stadium's standard set-up, or the expanded one, which allows them to get closer to the 100,000 pipe dream. The secondary market is already flooded, and prices are dropping rapidly too. You can get a standing room ticket for $35 or so if you know where to look.

There was a similar situation in the mid-90s and we all know what happened then.
Only difference now is the audience refuses to accept anything that isn't their chosen guys, no matter how good the actually quality of the product is (as evidenced by the bad reviews for Sheamus' title run which has been very good)

-- Kinda on-topic, but off-topic too... Anyone have the presale password for RAW the following night, at the American Airlines Arena?(but staying on topic)... I'll be pissed if Mania itself, is a flop. But am already stoked about Fan Axxess, the Hall of Fame ceremony, and the fact that Wrestlecon is in town that weekend too. It's gonna be a 5-day Wrestle-Heaven vaca for NAC! American Airlines Center. AAA is in Miami, AAC is in Dallas. -- Wow, 1 word. Thank you Captain Uptight.

It goes incredibly far beyond "not accepting anything but their guys." If you think the current quality of the product is solid, that's certainly your prerogative, but understand that you are very much in the minority, and the gripes of those in the majority are as valid as ever. To most, things are very, very bad, and many of WWE's key business metrics will support that theory.

Yeah, they only released Limited View's or Platinum Seats for the last few weeks, up until this Monday when they have finally started releasing a few Club Level Seats. I ended up biting the bullet and getting Block C336's at $295 but I'm sure they'll probably end up releasing lower level Club's under the same price bracket later on. Heard a lot of talk of Brock Lesnar vs Kevin Owens doing the rounds too. For some reason, I just don't want to see it at the point in time. I'm hoping for Triple H vs Roman Reigns otherwise we're going to get the inevitable Reigns vs Lesnar II, this time with a clean Reigns win (unless Heyman done the double cross).

So if I want to take solace in the only good thing remaining - Sheamus' title run - then that is entirely my choice.

At this point in time, I'm now seeing something like this;
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Roman Reigns vs John Cena
The Rock vs Triple H
Brock Lesnar vs Kevin Owens
Undertaker vs Sheamus
I'd love to see them try and encorporate something similar to a UFC Cage Fight Gimmick for the Lesnar vs Owens Match but I doubt they will. Also, I have a feeling they mag drag Undertaker's last match out to '33 when either Cena is free'd up or Sting is available.

it's in texas, austin is loaded up on trt enough to get through a match...
...bring punk back for it. impossible, i know, but if they did it...it'd certainly help. fantasy booking aside, they've had lots of 'just okay' wrestlemanias. 19 wasn't very killer in my books. or 25, except taker/michaels. i'm sure there's more.

Send New Day out there for 4 hours, there's your show 'Save...the show...' 'Save...the show...' I expect the term 'heavily papered' to relate to them selling it out... Over a month later, and I still believe this.
