You right, the figure doesn't have the same design that is on the box. The design it does have on is perfect. Yes it can have a jacket or not but it's still an awesome figure. Put the World Heavyweight Chapionship on it and it looks complete.
The only person that is at fault here is you. You saw the picture and the figure and knew they didn't match up and still bought the figure. That's not Mattels or Bill's fault for you making that purchase. Just enjoythe figure.

I love the figure. I can understand why people would question it not looking like the box photo, but it is accurate per the event listed on the back of the box. I've already done this pink/black repaint and plan on doing one in black/white colors as well: That is an awesome Macho Man you did. I just saw the picture online from where you got the idea from too... You did pretty good with it, it's pretty much spot on! Awesome job!

I basically agree, same for E34 Hogan where the pic used on the packaging would've make for a better figure, but we knew from Bill that the Jacket wouldn't be included from the figure's inception, so it's not a let down to me and I like the figure very much for what it is.
I would hope we get a variation someday that matches the box art and more that use the same shredded tights, since they went to the trouble to create and entirely new leg mold.

The fact remains that you knew what you were buying. Mattel made the figure, showed you what it looked like, what it came with, and even what specific event the look was derived from, then after giving you all this information, asked you if you wanted to buy it. With all that information right in front of you, you decided to buy it. Then, you promptly came on the forum and complained about getting ripped off. Thing is, you didn't get ripped off. Ripped off means you were deceived, taken advantage of, stolen from, etc. That didn't happen, yet you say it did. This is what people like myself are taking issue to. No one is saying that you can't have an opinion, that you are not allowed to expect more, expect better, expect cheaper, or plead your case on these things. We are saying that you were NOT ripped off. Your argument that you're a collector who buys all Macho Man figures is irrelevant. Being a collector does not entitle you to everything you want, exactly the way you want it, at just the price you feel is reasonable. It does not. Get over it. Get over yourself. Oh please, dont patronise me, I was ripped off - relatively speaking. Ofcourse I know I wasnt deceived, stolen from etc. I never said I was entitled to everything I want. Your just making things up at this point. If you're going to be rude and tell me to get over myself then Ill have nothing more to do with you. You're talking absolute hogwash and digging for stuff you can knitpick with. No time for that. The general consensus of the argument was basically not getting value for money and you go off into the deep end with all that nonsense. You weren't ripped off, so calm your victim complex - relatively speaking. We knew going into this, a year ago, that it wouldn't have a jacket. It's an Elite, not a Defining Moment. forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/311575/pre-nwo-wcw-macho-attiresThanks for input on this. It's for an Elite in 2015 so no entrance jacket, but there are new parts and it is not a straight repaint. 2 of the suggestions here will work very will and i do have a favorite of the 2 that should look great on the figure. Bye for Now MDT

If I see him at retail I'll grab one, but yeah he's a cool figure but to me it just feels incomplete without the jacket like the DM Savage came with. That's just me being picky because I grew up watching Savage with those flashy entrance robes? to the flashy jackets with the tassles.

I found Elite 38 today and picked up Macho Man on a hunch. What a great figure! I was planning on skipping him but I'm glad I did not.

A shirt and jacket would definitely have made it figure of the year IMO.

It's my favorite Macho figure outside of nWo. To each their own.

Actually, it's very accurate. It's from Bash at the Beach 95, which is printed on the back of the box. The attire is spot on. He didn't wear a shirt on that day. It's missing his jacket, but MDT told us it wouldn't have one when he polled us for the 95 attire. Also, for who mentioned it before, APA did not get all the budget. Macho has new tooling on the tights Did you not see what I put?? I put it in bold in case you missed it. Clearly I said that he maybe did wear those tights, but the fact that the tights on the picture on the box are different from the figure are gonna make people question the accuracy of said figure. The picture of Sting on his E89 figure shows him wearing a black shirt and black coat, but the figure itself has a red shirt and a black/red coat. Sometimes the picture and the figure aren't the same attire. That doesn't mean the figure is inaccurate.

I think he was trying to say they should have used the RSC Bret style jacket on macho man which would have been a terrible idea that would be inaccurate and that the hat on his e38 macho man has smeared paint and he is quite pissed off about it

I have more of a problem with the head. I've never liked that head (or the smiling one). I don't think it looks like Mach, it looks much more like Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin with straight hair. I feel like the E23 head would be far more appropriate. I think the only reason that they never use it is that it doesn't fit any of the Savage accessories (hats, crown, bandanna, glasses), although they should really just resize them. I certainly wouldn't say no to a brand new head. Although E23 is decent, neither are really out of the park knockouts. Savage is one of those guys like Edge, who's heads ranged from close-but-no-cigarette to awful.
