WFWF World Heavyweight Championship Match
---------------------------------------------------
Drakz (c) vs. Joshua Dean
The history between these two goes back to Drakz’s second match after his year hiatus in hospital. Fresh off of a Superbrawl show stealing victory over Phillip Schneider Drakz arguably had more momentum than anyone in the company and he used this to run through Joshua Dean as most people expected. Fast forward 18 months though and we see a very different Dean to the one Drakz previously bested. With numerous high stakes victories under his belt now and a whole lot of education through his losses Joshua Dean currently stands as the number one contender for Drakz’s WFWF World Heavyweight Championship, an opportunity he earned through a trial of fire.
Having beaten Joe Bishop and Samael Ahriman to the punch in the “Dead Bodies are Buried Under the Sakura“ main event Dean found himself in a position where his scheduled opponent was looking to defend his newly won WFWF Tag Team Championships on his own and, because Josh Dean is Josh Dean, he didn’t want to stand idly by as his golden goose fought tooth and nail towards inevitable injury. Instead he offered his services as Drakz’s tag team partner?! What we saw in the weeks to follow was Drakz teaming with Josh’s wife Nikki and trying to get into her head, a tactic which seemingly held some water as the Dean houseboat rocked furiously amidst the storm the champion had created. This led to a stellar WFWF Tag Team Title defence by Drakz and Joshua Dean against Samael Ahriman & Cameron Stone and cemented the team as a force to be reckoned with, even if they could crumble inward at any moment.
Joshua Dean has continued to uphold his end of the bargain, maintaining that he only wants to ensure Drakz’s 100% health come Show Time. No excuses for either man in defeat. This came to a head in the closing moments of Curtain Call though as Drakz flattened his team mate/challenger with a steel chair whilst he was acting as special guest referee in the hotly anticipated WFWF International Championship main event. All of this was seemingly enough to finally force Dean’s hand as he returned the favour, driving the very title he’s competing for into the face of the man that is currently 460 days deep into the longest title reign in WFWF history.
Battle lines have been drawn. Oaths have been cast aside.
This is Joshua Dean’s chance to make history in the most earth shaking fashion. Can he usurp the man who has sat atop the WFWF mountain for nearly 12 years? Or will Drakz once again show why he could very well be considered the greatest of all time?
We can’t wait to find out!
Old Enemies Go To War!
NO DQ Match!
---------------------------------------------------
Trace Demon vs. Penny Shannon
Trace Demon has never been a kind and respectful member of the WFWF but over the past two months he has seemingly become more twisted than ever before. Ever since turning on his tag team partner Nikki Dean Trace has done everything he can to just be a downright terrible human being. From attacking newcomers in Kali Kendall and Gabriel Black to booking hated enemies Samael Ahrimana and Cameron Stone together right down to knocking Penny Shannon out with a microphone. Trace is acting out a twisted plan that absolutely nobody seems capable of working out. Trace’s has called on anybody to try and stop his reign of terror but up until last week there didn’t seem to be anyone willing to enter the fray and do just that.
Enter Penny Shannon.
Shannon returned from Trace’s vicious attack and launched one of her own, an attack that devolved into one of the most personal and heated brawls we’ve seen in some time. Not only did Trace Demon try and legitimately strangle Penny Shannon to death but Penny ended things by putting both Trace and herself through the security barricade. After the havoc that these two caused Lila Sleater decided that there was only one way to settle the war and that was to make this match No Disqualifications. There is only one rule that these two must abide by and that is that pinfalls and submissions only count inside the ring. Aside from that anything goes, and you can bet that this one is going to be downright horrific.
WFWF National Championship Match
Who's the Man?
---------------------------------------------------
Lucas Crowe (c) vs. Ante Whitner
Last time WFWF came to you on Pay Per View was from Tokyo, Japan, and in that moment a green Lucas Crowe took his opportunity with both hands and became the number one contender for the WFWF National Championship. Now, 4 shows down the line he stands tall as the reigning champion! It’s no secret by now that he has both the financial and intellectual backing of one Justin Tyme and, true to his reputation, Tyme’s been running his mouth about his new protege’s dominance. Not only that but as a unit “The Wreckers” have been targeting the longest reigning WFWF National Champion of all time, Ante Whitner. Now Ante had a pretty good night back in Japan as well, besting one Michael Kyzer in what would seemingly be his last match thanks to a brutal post match attack. Whitner has taken this momentum and aimed himself directly at the WFWF International Championship, also known as the next rung of the ladder. While Whitner’s eyes are fixated on the stars above though he needs to be sure not to forget about those wanting to overtake him and this match will surely show us where the future of the WFWF lies?
Crowe has insisted that his National Championship belt be put on the line claiming he is a fighting champion regardless of Whitner’s claim that he has no need for the belt any longer. The decision was left in the hands of the WFWF’s booking team and they have decided the belt MUST be defended in Vegas and so there we have it! Who’s the man? Tonight we find out!
Returning to the Fold!
---------------------------------------------------
Chase Landon vs. Cam Nitta
The world was shocked when Chase Landon revealed that he wasn’t dead. I mean come on, we held a moment of silence and everything! Anyway, Chase Landon is back and despite not picking up a victory in his return he proved that he’s still more than capable of putting up a hell of a fight. However he’s gone and got himself quite the second opponent upon his return. In fact he’s facing off against another returning face himself, Cam Nitta. Nitta was once called one of the most promising talents in the WFWF and now that he’s back there are going to be a lot of people watching to see whether he’s still got what it takes to be a star. Both of these men had potential, both of them want to prove they’ve still got it and if they’ve got to go through the other one to do it then they’re not going to think twice.
