I just came across the newest video from Wrestling With Wregret, which you can watch below.
In it, he comes up with some great points, and a somewhat complicated solution. Ideally, it could work, but hurts my head just thinking about how they'd implement it. They can't even run television as it is right now, so the idea mentioned in the video would need too much planning, and accounting for all eventualities (injuries, suspensions, firings, backstage politics...). They aren't smart enough to effectively work this one out.
But it was an interesting idea. Just wondering what your opinions are on this. For me, I think a 3 month off-time is simpler and better all round - but I understand it wouldn't happen because of the all mighty dolla and Vince and the company's stance on this subject. But obviously this would be beneficial to prevent story stagnation, frequent injuries/concussions and giving talent more time to practice their weak areas.

I don't think they need to do a full off-season, but I do think that they need to rotate guys somewhat. Give John Cena two-three months off at one point in the year, when he comes back, allow Dean Ambrose to take some time off. It keeps everyone fresh, helps people not get stale and could help with the ridiculous amount of injuries lately.

Yeah they should have an off season imo.
It'd just make most things better.

They can repackage some guys when they come back, flip them heel and face. It would just be nice and give others a chance to shine as well. Have them go out with Injuries or whatever could be a way to create new storylines too.

WWE couldn't afford an off season. It would bankrupt them

I like the kid behind 'Wrestling With Wregret'. While I don't agree with everything he says (in other videos, not just this one) I can't help but think that as good-natured and honest as his intentions are, Vince McMahon created the format, the plan, the very existence of the WWE touring schedule...
Obviously before cable TV with territories the touring schedule was just as merciless, but now in this day and age with streaming internet and worldwide coverage that the WWE has, the WWE is essentially a carpet-bomb of sports entertainment/pro wrestling...swept everywhere to the point of over-saturation that it's no bloody wonder that the product is stale and legit injuries occur.
I can't ever see it happening, especially not as a publicly traded company.

an "off" season isn't needed. but they have more than enough talent to be able to give guys a month off here and there. the problem is they don't care enough about anyone outside the few main event guys they are pushing to fill that space so instead we get the same guys doing the same things for an endless amount of time until they get hurt.
but to shorten it, yes....if the WWE was smart enough, they could easily give a few guys time off without anyone even noticing or caring and it would probably help everyone.

The body is not made to do the schedule the WWE superstars do. They have no time to heal between shows. So small injuries become bigger injuries. When steroids were rampant it helped speed up the healing process. Mix in steroids with pain pills to numb the pain.
I would work in a every other week crew. 14 solid days plus PPV, and media appearances. Like when a feud ends give the loser a week or 2 off. Not him lose and come out the next night starting up a new feud.

Maybe not a full multiple month offseason, but a Monday or 2 off every month doesn't seem too ridiculous.

I would say just give each superstar a 1 month break so they can take care of personal issues, injuries or relax. I'm sure every wrestler in WWE deserves a break, well not all but most do.

I've been saying for years that the talent should have a fairly random split schedule.

They should have a break after every WM. Those are some of the most pointless months afterwards.

I don't like it.....
If I like the wrestlers from "group A" but "group A" never tours in my area, I'd be disappointed & I'd lose interest (well, I guess I already have anyway).... with four "groups" it would dilute the roster even more than it already is - and greatly reduce the chances that certain wrestlers would be touring in my area.
McMahon would never move to a program like this, and as it has been pointed out - it's way to complicated for them to comprehend.
WWE shouldn't need an "off-season". However, they could ease the roster load with a simple brand split - In My Opinion, they never should have combined the brands.... I always enjoyed having dual-brands.

I'd give February, April, September, and December. A month of after every big four. And the holidays are spent at home

Ok, from what I've learnt from this is:
The only off time guys get nowadays are either from
a) injuries
b) filming schedules (movies etc...)
c) creative has nothing for you (lower card guys)
d) family needs
That was why CM Punk didn't want to come back to work during his time off from injuries to do promos and (despite the premise of their crappy movies) was willing to do the movie schedule to get some time off.
In order to heal up and prevent nagging injuries, they need to be away for 30 days or so. It also refreshes their minds and keeps a good work output. A lot of guys can become lazy, fatigued and just disillusioned due to the toll it takes on their wellbeing.
Plus, absence makes the heart grow fonder. By not over-exposing guys week-in week-out, we look forward to seeing guys more if they're not there all the time. Also prevents stagnation and using up ideas that could be played out over time. The guys can be away, think about developing their skills more and come back renewed.

I think 2 weeks off over Xmas would help. Say have TLC tonight but no Raw tomorrow and have everyone off until New Year. Run a couple highlight shows, interviews, run some promos and start building up for the Rumble.

Basically I would give everyone a month off, that way they can have a month with their famillys. Each month would have a top star, a couple of midcarders, a tag team and a few jobbers/others, so the roster wouldn't be lacking. Have it simular to this..
April Alberto Del Rio, Dolph Ziggler, Big E, Kofi Kingston, Alica Fox, Xavier Woods
May Big Show ,Goldust, Bubba Ray Dudley, D-Von Dudley, Becky Lynch, Bo Dallas
June Bray Wyatt, Jack Swagger, Erick Rowan, Luke Harper, Emma, Braun Strowman
July Daniel Bryan, Kevin Owens, Cesaro, Tyson Kidd, Natayla, Brie Bella, Fandango
August Dean Ambrose, King Barrett, Curtis Axel, Damien Sandow, Charlotte, Heath Slater
September John Cena, Mark Henry, Darren Young, Titus O'Neill, Nikki Bella, R-Truth
October Kane, The Miz, Diego, Fernando, Eva Marie, Tamina, Adam Rose
November Randy Orton, Rusev, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Lana, Naomi, Zack Ryder
December Roman Reigns, Tyler Breeze, Kalisto, Sin Cara, Sasha Banks :
January Seth Rollins, Stardust, Konner, Viktor, Cameron, Summer Rae
February Sheamus, Ryback, Paige, Rosa Mendes
