Somewhere, a camera catches Stardust sitting alone in a dark room. He rocks back and forth, breathing deeply while delivering his thoughts. “Last month was only the beginning. The power struggle lives on, but I must address these rumors, these whispers, this hearsay. Cody Rhodes: that anyone thinks I am Cody Rhodes or that he is me, no. No. No. Cody Rhodes is not willing to do what I am. Cody Rhodes is not capable of doing what I can. No, fear not, your hero still stands today, but soon… soon there will be no more heroes. No. More Heroes.” He lets out a cackling laugh as the feed cuts out.
19 December 2015 (or so)
A video package highlights the results of SLAM! Wrestling’s Aged to Perfection event last month in Nashville, Tennesse including championship victories by KimberLee, Money & Power, and, shockingly, Rob Conway. Jim Ross and Paul Heyman welcome everyone as a camera pans the crowd in Tokyo – fans politely clapping as the view stops at the announce position after showing off the very basic arena, darkened above the fans with main lights above the ring.
Match #1: Adrian Neville, Hurricane, Super X Cup Holder KimberLee, & Sami Zayn vs. The Ascension & Tag Trios Champions Big E Langston & Mark Henry of Money & Power (4x4 Showcase Match)
The four-by-four showcase match truly is a showcase as all eight competitors get involved throughout the bout. Sami Zayn makes his way to the ring first, leading his team, followed by The Hurricane, Adrian Neville, and last but not least, the Super X Cup Holder KimberLee! The Ascension makes their way down the aisle next, as JR and Heyman run down the events of last month when Stardust finally made his presence felt officially, helping the Ascension to defeat Hurricane & Matt Hardy and Goldust & Cody Rhodes in tag team action. Two-thirds of the Tag Trios Champions round out the representation as Big E Langston and Mark Henry enter the fray. Like most SLAM! multi man matches, this one is fought under lucha libre tag team rules. Each gets a piece of the action, but in the closing moments, the Ascension has the Super X Champ alone in the ring and set up for the Fall of Man (or in this case, Woman). Before they can though, Cody Rhodes jumps the barricade and trips up Viktor, pulling him from the ring. Konnor still charges at Kimber, but she leaps up into the air, hitting him with a capture hurricanrana that she turns into a pinfall victory! (12:58)
Backstage, Cody Rhodes stops Hurricane as he gets to the other side of the curtain. “See? See? I’m not out to get you!” Hurricane shoves him away. “This proves nothing! You can tell your buddy Stardust that I’ll see him in the new year in the middle of that ring!
Match #2: Bryan Danielson vs. Celeste Bonin (World Class Championship Contender’s Match)
To the surprise and delight of the fans, the contender’s match for the World Class Championship is next. “The Beauty and Brawn of SLAM!” Celeste Bonin makes her way down the aisle first, slapping hands with some of the fans in the front row. “The Final Countdown” echoes through the speakers and the “American Dragon” enters the arena. After a brief feeling out process, this one turns hard-hitting with Danielson using his signature kicks and Bonin using powerful forearms. Celeste takes control in the early going with her power, but Danielson reverses a Lotus Lock attempt into a powerbomb and turns the match into a ground game. AmDrag uses submissions to his advantage as well. He sets Celeste up in the corner for the Knee-Plus, but she runs across the ring as well and catches him in mid-sprint with a spear! She goes for the pin with the match seemingly won, when she is pulling out of the ring by a woman who jumped the barricade. The woman grabs Celeste and tosses her head-first into the ring steps, and the referee is forced to call for the bell for a disqualification. The woman turns around to reveal the psychotic, painted face of “Crazy Mary” Dobson. She grabs Celeste and plants her with a piledriver on the floor! Security comes charging down the aisle, and Dobson lets them drag her away, a sadistic smile across her face. (15:12)
Earlier today, Tom Phillips caught up with Jamie Noble and Zeb Colter as they entered the arena. He asks about Noble’s mindset heading into what could be a career-ending match. “Career-ending? No. There’s no chance. I’m fighting a WOMAN, Tom, inside a steel cage. I put my career on the line just to bait her into this. There is no chance of me losing this match tonight, Tom. So, my mindset is that I just need to get the job done. And maybe this time, when I plant her with a Gibson Driver in the middle of the ring, she’ll figure out to stay out of my business.” Colter and Noble storm off.
Match #3: Balor Club vs. Nightmare Infestation (tag trios match)
The frightening trio known as the Nightmare Infestation received another chance to impress the SLAM! brass, and Fire Ant, Frightmare, and Jigsaw amble to the ring to take on the newly formed Balor Club. A soft roar rumbles from the speakers and strobes light up the arena as Finn Balor, Giant Bernard, and Luke Gallows make their way to the ring. The Japanese crowd is excited to see the group which have, at different points of their careers, each made an impression on the country’s puroresu scene. Not to use the word “squash,” but this one is all Balor Club as the group takes out the Nightmare warriors in short order after an initial flurry from the underdogs. Balor himself ends it with a Coup de Grace on Jigsaw for a pinfall victory. (6:14)
Backstage, Tom Phillips enters the locker room to find Paige. He addresses Noble’s cocky confidence, and asks her how confident she is entering this match. “Tom, when I say ‘This is my house,’ that’s not just a catchphrase. I truly believe that every time I step in the ring. I grew in a wrestling ring. I was in a match before I was born. I beat Noble before and I can beat him again. Tonight though, tonight isn’t just about beating him. It’s about proving that the officials here in SLAM! made the right decision not to have a women’s division and a men’s division. We’re all competitors, and we all want to be the best. Tonight, I prove that I am every bit as tough as Jamie Noble or any man. And in the process, if I’m ending his career, well, that’s just karma for everything he’s said about myself and the other female competitors here in SLAM!” Tom sends it back to ringside.
Match #4: KENTA vs. Matt Sydal (singles match)
Matt Sydal enters the arena first, glowering at the crowd. He takes a microphone and addresses the crowd, stating that he is tired of being seen as “fodder” for other stars and that he’s going to send his opponent home tonight never to be seen again. The lights dim and spotlights shine on the entranceway as KENTA makes his way down the aisle. He looks for a handshake to start the match, but Sydal slaps his hand away. He’s met with a stiff kick for his trouble. KENTA opens the match with a series of blows, but eventually Sydal does take control. He uses his fast-paced offense and agility to stick-and-juke the Tokyo crowd’s native son. Eventually though, KENTA regains the upper hand, knocking Sydal into the corner with a Shotgun Kick. He pulls him back to his feet and lifts him up on his shoulders, knocking Sydal out with the GTS! KENTA hooks both legs and picks up a rather quick pinfall victory. (8:37)
The SLAM! Intermission show makes its debut during a brief intermission at the live event. Jonathon Coachman welcomes everyone to a studio back stateside. He starts off running down the results of the dark matches before the televised show for the live crowd. In the opener, Davey Boy Smith, Jr. and Natalya Neidhart of the Hart Dynasty defeated the Party Animals when Smith planted El Torito with a running powerslam. After that, Tyler Breeze was in action, defeating Emma with the Beauty Shot after a back-and-forth battle. Coach” then addresses some news – Alberto ‘el Patron’ will be back in action the next time SLAM! is on the WF Network, as he was recently cleared of concussion symptoms but held off the tour of Japan as a precautionary measure.
He closes the segment with an interview with the new World Class Champion, “Iron Man” Rob Conway. He starts with the obvious question: why didn’t Conway make the trip to Japan? Conway says, “Well, Coach, I thank you for having me on here. Of course, it was kind of a shocker that I won this championship and a lot of this tour was planned before last month so I had some prior arrangements and bookings that I had to take care of this month, but don’t worry I’m doing the SLAM! faithful proud.”
Coach asks about Conway’s victory and what that meant to him: “Well, obviously, as a SLAM! Hall of Famer, I mean, I’ve done a lot in this company already, but mainly I think that I proved to myself that I’ve still got what it takes to get it done in the ring. Take nothing away from Tyler Breeze, he gave me one of the toughest fights of my career. I just came out better on the other side.”
Coach closes by asking who Conway would like to fight and who he sees stepping up to challenge him. “Well, obviously I saw the match earlier tonight between Celeste and American Dragon. Those two both would be tough challenges. KENTA is a man who was also here back in the day, I’d rather avoid getting hit with those kicks. I want to challenge all these young guys, whoever wants a fight, I’m a fighting champion. I’ll put the title on the line next time SLAM! is here in the states against anyone who wants it.” Coach asks if Conway is seriously setting an open challenge – “Yes, I am.”

As the event returns from break, a video package highlights the upcoming debut of Kevin Steen! The video highlights some of his most violent actions and interactions, ending with a crowd chanting “Fight Steen Fight!”
Match #5: A.J. Lee & C.M. Punk vs. M.V.P. & Naomi Knight (tag team match)
Kid Ink’s “Money & Power” strikes through the speakers as the other third of the Tag Trios Champions, M.V.P. makes his way to the ring alongside the newcomer Naomi Knight. Heyman and Ross run down the history of A.J. Lee running interference on behalf of C.M. Punk the last few months, and the pair make their way down the aisle. The match is a pretty standard tag team affair. MVP and Naomi work over Lee in the early going before she can get the hot tag to Punk. Punk gets in the ring and takes over with a flurry of blows, including hitting MVP with a high knee in the corner followed by a running bulldog out of the corner. Eventually, Punk falls to the numbers game as MVP and Naomi retake control. AJ is back on her feet on the outside, where she grabs MVP’s title belt. This draws him out of the ring. He tries to get the belt back from AJ. Punk crawls over to the side of the ring where they are struggling for the belt. MVP lets go and AJ rips the belt back, where it nails Punk in the face! Punk stumbles back and gets hit with a leaping hip attack from Naomi. MVP holds back AJ as Knight sits on Punk’s chest, picking up a pinfall victory. (13:42)
Backstage in catering, El Torito is pacing back and forth, uspet with the defeat that the Party Animals suffered pre-show. Adam Rose tries to comfort him. “Torito, we just need to stop and refocus. We need a third. We need someone to complete this trio of Party Animals. That said, I really don’t know anyone that would quite fit in with us.” Rose sits down on a chair, as Torito stares off camera. He taps Rose on the chest and points down a hallway. The camera turns that way as The Bunny starts hopping down a hallway! Rose yells, “Get that bunny!” from off camera and the two start running after him as he stops hopping and takes off sprinting down the hallway.
Main Event: Jamie Noble vs. Paige (Steel Cage Match; Noble’s career is on the line)
“The Redneck Messiah” makes his way down the entranceway first alongside Zeb Colter. Noble climbs into the ring as the cage lowers. Two referees stand by at ringside and lock the cage into place. A scream echoes through the arena and Paige makes her way down the aisle. She climbs into the ring and the referee locks the cage door behind her. The two don’t lock up or start chain wrestling, they just start throwing lefts and rights. This one is a brawl, with both competitors ending up worse for wear. Paige gets the upper hand and opens up Noble’s forehead on the cage, but eventually he returns the favor. An escape attempt by Noble is met with the highest impact shot of the match as Paige hits him with a superplex after pulling Noble from the top of the cage. Paige tries to crawl to the cage door, but Noble stops her at the last moment. He pulls her back into the center of the ring where he locks on the Trailer Hitch! Eventually, Paige escapes the hold by sitting up and slapping Noble across the face. The two return to their feet slowly and start hitting lefts and rights again. Noble gets the upper hand and sets Paige up for a Gibson Driver. She reverses into a back body drop. Noble gets up and charges but Paige kicks him in the midsection and plants him with a RamPaige. She begins to climb the cage, but her climbing is slowed by the earlier submission. Paige gets to the top of the cage, but at the same time, Noble crawls towards the door. Colter yells at the referee to open the door for him. The two reach the threshold at almost the same time, Paige coming over the top of the cage at the same time Noble reaches both arms through the door. As Paige gets to the other side, Noble tumbles through the door just before she can drop to the ground! Noble has won the match, and Colter immediately starts gloating to Paige. (18:22)
Paige pushes the referee out of the way and nails Colter with a superkick! She grabs Noble off the ground and tosses him back into the ring. He tries to crawl back out and Paige slams the cage door in his face. She climbs back into the ring. Noble kicks her in the leg and starts to run. He climbs to the top of the cage. Paige climbs up after him and he pulls him down on off the top of the cage. She grabs his legs and drops him with a RamPaige off the top rope! Paige leaps to her feet, still favoring her leg, but lets out a scream. She climbs to the top of the cage, balancing atop the scaffold in the corner and yells “This is my house!” as the camera fades out.
Commissioner Fitzsimmons is alone backstage, watching the events on a monitor in a room that’s been reconfigured as an office for him. “Wow, I’ve never seen anything like that. He shuts off the monitor and turns around. A man walks into the room wearing SWAT armor and a trench coat, his face obscured by a helmet. “Who the hell are you?” The man shakes his head. He reaches into his coat and pulls out a stun gun. He shoots Fitzsimmons in the chest with it, and Fitzsimmons collapses onto his desk. The man grabs Fitz by his collar and drags him out of the room, rumbling down the hall. From a distance, the hysterical laugh of Stardust can be heard coming down the hall.
